As my absolutely wonderful career with the RAF comes to an abrupt end following my trip to Henlow, (small matter of a nasty flying incident about 2 years ago at Cranners depriving me of my role within the world famous Aerobatic Team) I am posting here to introduce myself to your community. I have no doubt the collective knowledge within this site will assist me in my transition to civilian existence, at the very least it should provide me with plenty of opportunities to reminisce! More pertinently, does anybody have any ideas what a slightly broken ex splitter Chief may find in the way of employment without moving out of Lincolnshire?
 
Dont come on here mate. The GRF from Cranners are still banging on about the game of Uckers that got disrupted.

And apparently you still owe for the hobnobs that got broken.
 
At the risk of completely getting the wrong end of the stick - is this related to the hawk that ended up parked in ATC car park (contrary to SSO-MT Orders, as it wasn't reversed into the space)?

You could ask your current employers if you could be employed as a civvy whose only duty is to get a slightly rotund JT (who looks like a fat David Baddiel) to do some work!

Would you be interested in staying with the military or do you want to distance yourself from the blue suited world?

From one slightly broken spit-brain that got told at Henlow that he wasn't being medically discharged because "your trade is undermanned", to another who has, you need to get yourself enroled on all this lean/6s malarky. It seems to me, that this aspect is expanding exponentially and as a "civvy consultant" you can expect to get shed loads of dosh by telling people what they already know; that's how it seems to work at Cosford anyhow!

I was in a Morris Marina that got parked like that by my elder bro once. Mind you he was 16 at the time. Blind drunk. And stoned.

I suspect those contributory factors weren't shared by your incident though, but since I never read the report I'd be keen to hear about it (and your involvement)




BTW - Welcome to the Goat. 'Fraid I can't be of any help on the jobs in lincs front. If I try and think about life on the outside my brain recoils at the though of working for a living, sorry.
 
What do you want to do? What do you enjoy doing? How much folding do you need to earn?
