Hi all.

Looking to find out about the flying clubs. I wondered how/if they do pilot licences, and if so, how they go about doing this? I.e. what money i'd have to put forward, if it is done in working hours or weekends, etc.

Bear in mind that until the 13th of Feb I am not officially in service, and as such I do not have access to JPA or such like.

Cheers.

Only for those of god like reactions and a predilection for wearing green romper suits.

Google RAFFCA - RAF Flying Clubs Association. Most clubs are ELC providers. If ELC's are used then, here at Waddo at least, it is generally treated as a course. Info for Waddo club here: www.waddingtonflyingclub.com

Of note: ex-service membership is general across majority of RAFFCA/Service flying clubs - ELCs can be used for a good period past your exit date, still giving you the chance to gain PPL as a civvy using ELCs. Where exactly are you stationed/intend to be when you leave? You should contact you local club for further info...

just a quick couple of questions, are the clubs open to civil serpents,as well and where is the nearest to yorkshire, not for me just one of the lads at work is looking at PPL,and i know some years back one of the fmn at halton used the club however he was ex forces.
