I am thinking of re-enlisting into Administrative Officer - I wonder how JPA has changed things for the branch, I'd be interested to know what you think. I wonder if the branch is moving closer to a civilian company 'HR office', or has the effect of JPA caused a scaling-down within the branch?
Glad if anyone in the branch can give me any advice on this.

For the officer it hasn't changed much with the introdution of JPA. In the main JPA is used much more by the troops!

Whilst many PSFs for example have switched to HR Flts - this is wrong - they do not fill a full HR functionality. Further, nonone in the Branch or Trade are formally trained in professional HR!!

JPA Hasn't caused that much pain at Officer level - they were already generally undermanned across JO - Sqn Ldr ranks anyway. The hit has been on the OR/JNCO side of the house.

How long after getting out will I have wait before re-enlisting and if I do get back in what is the procedure - I did 7 years service - In Africa at moment coming home next month

It depends upon how long you have been out, I think the minimum is 12 months maybe 18 mths
