Pish, utter pish. Monday night football stuff so far, not managed to watch one game through from start to end yet. Reckon FIFA should abandon the group phase and make the competition pure knockout from the off, that would liven things up a bit and see a few shocks too :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Slow start and chances not taken

Slow start and chances not taken

yes for sure some slow games but I have been surprised at the lack of chances converted to goals...early days though.
Off Topic I cant stand them horns!

Really looking forward to the England game last night, had my laptop on my lap within 20 mins, thought the opener wa a good effort not seen anything to better it yet, still early days I suppose

Keeper errors, Algeria's man made a slight faux pas.
It just has to get better. The horns make watching dire games even worse.

The horns are an annoyance beyound belief and the football has been frankly rubbish. Watching paint dry is more exciting if im turely honest. From the teams i have seen, South Korea are probably going to win it! I hope the dutch win it as i have them in the sweep stake at work! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

I generally detest football.

Having said that though, I do catch the odd World Cup game when it's on. This time I lasted about 25 minutes. 4 minutes in the advert popped on as the Gerard goal went in. The rest of it sounded like a swarm of flies was in the stadium.

It's not for me this year I'm afraid, but I hope someone enjoys it. So far i've seen nothing but negative comments.

Agreed about the horns, what's the point of paying to go to a football match and then just sitting there blowing a stupid horn, regardless of what is happening on the pitch, I mean, it's not like they can be watching the game, the noise does not change regardless of whether somebody has just completing a dazzling run through 3 defenders and is about to shoot, or they are stood about a bit waiting for a ballboy to throw a ball to them for a throw in.

completely ruins the atmosphere for me.

The only impressive team I have seen so far is England, sorry habitual typo, I meant Argentina and they only managed a 1-0 win.

Is there a FIFA link anywhere where fans could bleat about these horns?

If one could be found it'd be the fastest chain mailed web link in the webs history as I have to say I've stopped watching the other games due to the monotonous racket...

Apparently moves are afoot to ban the horns, seems that players and the tv companies are all complaining about the racket, bring back rattles I say

This is what I've sent them for what its worth:

After waiting for so long to wait for the world cup to start I find myself after only the third day switching off from the coverage of any channel due to the noise of these infernal horns. No singing can be heard, the atmosphere is lost and goodness knows how the players communicate. The pitch and volume never changes in tempo with anything happening on the pitch so has little to do with the football.

Do something about them as I know many fans are thinking the same thing. It should be about the football but sadly its all about a cheap, nasty, plastic horn!

Unclean, unclean he uses facebook, burn the witch, burn the witch.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

erm, I just joined that :PDT_Xtremez_42:

My two pennies worth:
the constant droning of these vuvuzela horns is making the world cup unwatchable, the people blow them constantly regardless of what's happening on the pitch it doesn't add to the atmosphere, it's destroying it.
I have been looking forward to this competition and was hoping to really enjoy it, but I fear these horns are ruining it for everyone.
For all the enjoyment I'm getting I might as well give up on the competition altogether.

Yours Grumpy Welsh tw@t :PDT_Xtremez_14:
