Hi all,
I am currently in university finishing the last year of my dietetics degree, I however know that I really do not want to work in the field of dietetics and would like to do something that’s challenging and enjoyable.

I was considering doing another degree in computer science or something similar so that I could get into the I.T field (always really enjoyed working with technology and computers) but with tuition fee at £9k I think maybe not,

So this got me thinking about the armed forces and that you get training while being paid rather than the other way around, I am also looking to do a little bit of traveling and seeing the world…Not too much though as I have a girlfriend who I live with currently.

I got to looking at the ICT technician course and it seems like it would be ideal my first question would be does anyone have experience in this trade that could give me a bit more information on the role and whether it is enjoyable?

My second question would be regarding promotions and working outside the forces, what are the promotion prospects like in the IT trade and will the qualifications and experience you gain while working actually land you a decent job if i was to leave?

If anyone has any advice or information they would like to share I would be grateful.
Thanks,
Oscar.
