Thinking of re-applying

Hi there!

Just looking for a point in the right direction.

I attended OASC in January 2010 and made it all the way through the selection process, eventually being rejected at the review stage. This was a massive disappointment after 2 years work to get that far and knocked my confidence. I then got stuck into my work and now 18 months down the line I'm ready to try again. However, not as NCO this time.

I'm a little bit out of the loop but I'm obviously aware of all the cuts that are happening/happened. I've had a look on the careers website but there doesn't seem to be much at the moment. I'm 26 and I need some direction. I've been in management roles with work for the past 5 years but it's not enough. I know the RAF can offer me what I need, however I know I'm running out of time to make that decision!

I originally applied for WSOP and scored high in all aptitude tests (only marginally falling short for Pilot) and I know I need something fairly technical. I would also consider a specialist role within the regiment. However I need to do my homework first.

Any help and advice is much appreciated as always.

Many Thanks

Dan

Get looking through all the information on the RAF website but also ask down at your AFCO about visiting a local base. I visited two during my application and they were invaluable in learning about the role I was applying for.
