That thug Barton has escaped punishment on a technicality for his assault on Dickson Etuhu in the North East derby at the weekend.

Now before any of you Black and White fans come out and say I am only having a dig because you scraped a spawny goal to get an underserved draw, this is about a so called professional footballer who has a history of violence getting away with it again. I hope justice finally prevails and he gets sent to jail for the Man City assault he carried out in front of at least 25 witnesses but had the pomposity to plead not guilty and denied the offence at court.

there cannot be much argument about that ^^^^

If you're a mackem supporter, then I hope you have the decency to decry Keano's much lauded effort to cripple Alfie Haaland in the infamous leg break attack in a match many years ago.

Not only did he not deny it, he even bigged it up in his p!sspoor autobiog...

For the record, I'm not denying Barton is a bit screw loose, but in the heat of a derby match (prob one of the most competitive in British football) there was lots of thuggery going on, or are you having selective memory recall, courtesy of the scurrilous press who seem to have it in for the Mags at the moment?

No ST, I do not condone what Kean did to Haaland, I said at the time and still believe now he should have got at least a 2 year ban for that, if not for life. There is no excuse for any footballer who deliberately tries to cripple another.

You're right he's a common thug........... not fit to wear the revered black and white.

But he redeemed himself a bit at the weekend by kicking mackems up a height.......:PDT_Xtremez_30:

So he's guilty before the verdict is given? Must admit Scumderland are doing well this season, your only two points from the relegation zone.:PDT_Xtremez_17:

Competitive? That far down the table?:PDT_Xtremez_15:
It happens mate, look at the challenge Dirk Kuyt tried in the mersey derby, or Essien on Osman.
A sad fact of life with weak refs I'm afraid.

That may be a faint hope so called "training ground incidents" don't tend to get very much further than the press back pages. There may well have been 25 others on the training ground but how many were looking the other way at the time. David Batty gave Graham Le Saux a right slapping live on TV during a Champions league game and sod all happened from a legal perspective. Even if it's proved he (Barton) assulted the other guy how much is a 10 grand fine going to hurt. Anyway going to court and being convicted is not a career stopper for footballers, Tony Adams, Lee Hughes, Jermaine Pennant, Paul Merson etc.

Duncan Ferguson got sent to prison for what he did on a football field, complete joke if you ask me. And Scotland lost a player who would have easily been a Hall of Famer.
Barton clearly has a screw missing he was at the Newcastle game on the day of the incident, but how he ends ****ed up utside a Mcdonalds fighting at 0530 is beyond me.
Remanded again:

Barton is just a thug who happens to be okay at football. He should be treated in law like any other citizen.

And when he gets stiffed by the Great Britsih Legal system surely the FA will end up with egg on their faces for his past mis-demeanors on the pitch? I think it's time for a conscious change of character for Mr Barton cos he's gonna be under the microscope for the foreseeable future.

But why let him out on bail now ? Is it just to say "you fecked upm at xmas an we fecked up your new year" ?

Keep the criminal locked up along with the rest of them...I do hope to god he is barred from playing/earning while he is out otherwise it just makes a joke cause we all know his fine will probably be less than a weeks wages for him.......c0ck !!!!

Crack on..................:PDT_Xtremez_09:
