Unable to open a file

I'm trying to open a file from a usb stick but when I open the folder, the only file in there has a name PK then what looks like a couple of symbols from the cyrillic alphabet. It won't open, any ideas? FIA.

There used to be a compression program called PKZIP.

Is there a possibility that it has been compressed before saving to the USB stick?

No, it's not zipped. It's a pain in the @rse because I'm trying to do my end of year stock check, good job I saved the document on my laptop at the shop. The file extension PK belongs to files created by the Adobe program 'Audition'.

What are you expecting to be in the file? If its text you can try right-clicking it and opening it with wordpad to see if its readable.
