Uniform ban in public in London

Is there still a ban? Some news sites were saying there was a short term ban but it was lifted but I've not been in work lately to check. I'm asking specifically about London and in the next couple of days.

Obviously if there are security issues with answering this question, just bin it. It's not going to be a problem for me to put a jacket over the top anyway.

It will be if the Snowdrops catch you wearing a mixture of civvies and uniform, especially in a public place.

At one time it used to be said you could tell an off-duty civvy copper because he'd taken off his helmet and tunic and donned a sports jacket, continuing to wear his blue shirt, navy tie and serge trousers, and size 12 boots.
