I am trying to fit a window regulator to my car, but have since found that it is too big after trying to fit it.I still have the old one which the motor had gone on it.

Can i cannobolise the new regulator to fix the old one.Desperate need of help as i have a door completely apart .It is a ford galaxy. The motors on both look the same.Is there anyone who can offer advice?or maybe if they live near me might be able to come round and help?.

Thanks.

well ive swapped the motors over..but i need to get a cog off the new reg onto the old reg as the one on the old reg is broken. But i think its held on with a rivet...sooooo has anyone near me got a rivet gun that i could borrow for a few mins please?
