Just been looking on the RAF website CASWO page and noticed his best blue sleeve rank badge.

It doesn't look like any WO badge that I have ever seen, why is it different?

It's difficult to make out what it is below the Tate & Lyle. However, I had a trawl through Google and found this:

From: http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafcms/mediafiles/0F20E8C8_5056_A318_A886F0D8AD19DE17.pdf

Rank Badges – Airmen and Airwomen0709. Sleeves and Shoulder Rank Badges. Sleeve badges are embroidered in light blue, on backgrounds of dark blue felt. Shoulder straprank badges (rank slides) are in similar colour combinations, but of woven material and are worn on all working dress uniforms . For rank slidesworn with combat uniform refer to Chapter 3.0710.

Rank Badges Description a. Warrant Officer. The Royal Arms. The title CASWO is embroidered onto the shoulder badges of the post incumbent.

(It doesn't mention it for No.1's though)

There's a similar conversation over on arrse:

'The new badges came in with NEM just over a week ago. All WO1s are paid the same, so to distinguish between the various Supplements, there are four different badges, each with varying levels of additional adornment. That looks like a Supp 3 badge.'
