What can I do about noisy neighbours? we have asked (politley!) many times and the music/noise stops for an hour or two. Next day the racket returns. Gets pretty tiring after a while.

I know I can complain to the council noise team, but can I make a complaint through the RAF you reckon? Any other course of action I can take?

I had this problem at Halton, you should have a Families Liaison Officer on camp (usually a SNCO) and also Community Support Policeman. This is a real copper, not the RAF variety.

Give them a call and things will start being recorded by the appropriate people, I made the mistake of firstly trying to sort it out myself, and then by threatening to behead my neighbour. I ended up getting a bollocking for threatening behaviour.

Not sure what camp you're at, but down here we've got a Station Community Support Officer (SCSO) a Warrant Officer ,who's job it seems, is the welfare of those in SFA. I would see your equivalent (if there is one) for some advice on how to move forward - as mentioned keep a log and try not to lose your rag with them.

I wont post my location for obvious reasons. I have kept a log of noise/times etc for the past few weeks. Asking nicely doesnt seem to be doing any good so I wont be asking them again as I would be close to doing something I might regret!

I'm unaware of an SCSO at my camp but thats probably my ignorance so I will investigate and chat to them. Thanks for the heads up.

No worries, getting someone in that kind of position (and of course rank) on side will boost your cause. Their might not be an SCSO, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't someone in that kind of role available for you to speak to on station/quarters.

Either way best of luck getting it sorted mate, I've been there myself and it sucks ass!

wait till the hubby goes on course, det etc get one of the lads in the block to turn on the charm, bingo new neighbours in weeks plus said asshole will be paying her/csa off for years.

If he's in SFA he's a tennant in that house and can be evicted surely? Speak to his landlord (DHE or whatever they are called these days)

JT,

been through this myself fella.

Top idea to keep a log. Dates/times/level of noise/stereo/voices etc.

You say you've asked nicely? Personally I would notch this up a level without getting others involved just yet. Next time it happens, catch them the next morning when they've got a hangover and explain strongly that the level of noise/time of noise has become a big issue.

Be serious but keep the conversation short with a tone which suggests that you really have had enough!

Time after that, fcuk 'em. DE complaint and whoever the 'welfare' officer is, both at once.

Just my thoughts, hope it works out.

Find a friendly pilot thats willing to fly very low over their house.. they might get the message, though it might upset some of your friendlier neighbours aswell.

And for the win.............. next time you go away for the weekend (and their not) loud sound system crancked up to 11 on a timer plug to come on at around 2:30 am might do the trick!!!!!!!!

when in doubt, fire with fire!!!!
