What is going to happen to us when all the new jockey toys come in? Fat Albert is on his way to be replaced, as are vickies and Tri.s. going by recent new fast jets that are now down south, and cargo planes from our cousins over the pond, they are mainly civvy supported and we hold very little to no spares for them. Im not saying everyone wont be required but surly we are going to be down sized.
Sorry about spelling and grammer. Im a Stacker for a reason!

Hmmm, i wonder?

Two weeks ago we were around 150 personnel short, today when i checked we are 90 odd short, looks like manning have already been playing with figures and posts.

Wouldn't of thought we would be too hard hit but maybe a little bit of jiggling, re-moulding?

I do think that there are people who are burying their heads in the sand.
Known facts are that 4 bases are to close. Say approx 400 posts
DE&S up to 20ish
Reduction in the out of trade slots as briefed on a very recent TMT from 59 to under 25.
Now if you think that all these will be lost to natural wastage etc then keep burying your head. The ranks with the most excessive men per actual slots are WOs and FS. Ie out of trade, non jobs etc.
Will all these now on pop star wages go? I would place my wages on a few being let go against their wishes. Watch your backs!!

Future of the Supply Trade

Future of the Supply Trade

I have been out since 2002 but kept an eye on things via the Goat stackers posts and it dont take the brain of Britain to work out the trade will be Roy Orbison (its Over) in its current form within a year or so. Logs (Sup) Logs (Mov) Logs (MT) and Log (Cat) is the clue. The ones up top have never cared about the Stackers and never will. Its either going to be handed over to the RLC lock stock and all or a new wider Logs trade. Best of luck to all you Guys and Girls out there still.

Remember if they can get rid of the Harrier Pilots and their sun shades they will feck over anybody.

Perhaps the RLC will be taken over. Compare their skill levels with those of their RAF counterparts and they are poles apart. Take a look at somewhere like Wattisham where to get a response you have to deal at Staff Sergeant level. The average junior in the Army possesses little or no trade knowledge and in my personal experience wallows about lacking guidance and interest. Perhaps it is all down to selection?

But, they are cheap! Bean counter says 'yep'!

Dont worry everyone, I have it on good authority that the Officer Corps at Air Command have all our best interests at heart. However, you can be assured that the posts in the ivory towers wont be affected and any cuts will be made at the coal face allowing them to carry on with their full careers and generous pensions. Less camps and aircraft should equal less beaurocrats! Oh, and then there's all the project officers required to monitor the downsizing..............

i have been told that more logistic focal points are going to be created to keep us stacking well computering away. :PDT_Xtremez_26:
