Could it be a set up by the station plod as some sort of summer drink drive display? Other places rig "accidents" in the lead up to Christmas.

If not then yes what an insurance claim write up it will be. A harrier jump jet you say, stationary at the time you say, been drinking sir.

I doubt even they would be stupid enough to use a car with a full years tax on it.

The claim to fame there could be that it's the last vehicle that an RAF Harrier destroyed with its vast array of death bringing weapons.
