found this blog link to a Brit soldiers WW 1 letters, but I was unable to access it. It sounded very interesting. Perhaps some one can open it. Good luck.

If you're into that kind of stuff there are few really good books on the shelves at the moment not sure of the publishers but if you're interested I'll take a look and get back to you, titles are; Forgotten Voices of the Great War; Forgotten Voices of the Battle of Britain and the Blitz; Tommy; which is not a rock opera! and The Roses of No Mans Land. All of them have particularly moving bits in them especially Tommy and The Roses of no Mans Land. :S

I'm interested in any thing having to do with WW1, WW2, or Korea. Thanks, S.

Hope these help sculthorpe, the forgotten voices one has turned in to a really good series leading right up to the Falklands I think.

Happy reading :PDT_Xtremez_14:

I am currently reading "Boy Soldiers of the Great War" (Author - Richard van Emden). Great book, true recollections from underage boys who 'took the kings shilling. Might interest you.

The Sven Hassel series were pretty good looking from the German POV, some in the series were better than others but a couple were written almost as autobiographies.

HH Kirst wrote a series of ant Nazi novels the best being "the Knights of the Long knives" and Officer factory.

Len Deighton and his Bomber was a decent read and of course Biggles.

I prefer the true stories though.

Russell Braddon and "Naked Island" about Malaya from1941-45 and of course being a jap POW ( Istill feel guilty buying Japanese)

Damn Busters by Paul Brickhill

Enemy Coast ahead by Gibson

Reach for the sky

All damn good reads

Thanks Gem, I have some leave coming up when I eventually get back home and now I should have something to do.:PDT_Xtremez_28:
