hi all,

I only signed up a couple of days ago, my name's Petr (Scott), I'm in my early 30's, was born and raised in Czech, have never served in the RAF or any other Force. My childhood interest in the 'Czechs in the R.A.F. during ww2' and warbirds survived all the way through to my adulthood and has developed into general interest in the history of R.A.F., collecting ww2 R.A.F. insignia/flying equipment, and other most honourable ways of burning the dosh.

Being a member of a local military history group I sport a ww2 R.A.F. SD for various occasions such as museum exhibitions, commemorative events and air shows as a 'living showpiece' to preserve and present the tradition and history of the ww2 Czech airmen which I guess fully qualifies me as a Class I walt.

apart from my reenactment hobby, I fly at our local Gliding Club in CZ (GLD only) and play music.

My reason for joining up the forum is simply that I'm hoping to get in touch with someone I could share my interests with.
Also, over the past few weeks of irregular browsing on the forum I found many threads rather interesting reading and sometimes I wished I could post a question on the matter so one day I just told myself 'why not sign up?';
so here I am.

cheers all,
scott

Welcome Scott, good to have you onboard.

There are a couple of guys on here who are experts on recent military history who may be able to sort you out with any questions you may have? I'm sure they'll be along soon to introduce themselves. Likewise, I'm sure you'll be able share your knowledge on the history forums too.
