What is the high and low points for your club? We are a diverse bunch of footy fans on here so what do you regard as the best and worse bits of your footy club. Losing at home to your local rivals, winning against the odds in foreign lands? Lisbon 67, Wembley 68, Istanbul the second half, Denis Laws back heel etc etc.

For me the low point was the mighty Accrington Stanley going bust in 1963 to be replaced in the league by Oxford Utd. The club reformed in 1968 and 44 years after losing league status the Mighty Stanley with John Coleman at the helm were back.

High point? My local side Ilkeston Town getting to the 2nd round FA cup in 1997 (after beating Calrlisle in the 1st round), drawing with S****horpe away (with some quite legendary crowd trouble including the use of CS gas) and then being narrowly beaten 2-1 at home (with a goal disallowed for offside). Possibly the greatest side we've ever had.

Low point? The club going into administration due to a 50 grand tax bill, and being reformed under a different name.

As my club is Man U I think most people can guess.

High point - winning the treble.

Low point - losing 6-1 to the 'other' Manchester side.

Seeing Utd relegated in the 70s, "Denis has done it", and then seeing them win their first PL title in 1993.

Leeds winning the FA centary FA cup in 72, Mick Jones dislocating an elbow in the latter stages of the second half IIRC but still climbing the stairs to receive his medal. Lows after getting relegated post the mad spending spree in pursuit of the Champions League.

Having Souness as your manager would rank as one low point on many clubs records:PDT_Xtremez_30:

My high has to be seeing my home side Whitley Bay winning the FA Vase three years in a row and every time putting on a better show than any England team since 1996

High point -8th of February 2000, beating Celtic at home in the Scottish Cup 3-1 and being the subject of THE greatest paper headline EVER!! - Super Caley Go Ballistic, Celtic Are Attorcious! I've still got the t-shirt. It was a good game, Celtic where 2-1 down and a dressing room bust up between John Barnes and Mark Viduka just added insult to injury especially when he refused to come back onto the pitch.

Low Point - 2008/09 season which saw us relegated from the SPL down to the 1st division, but we got promoted the very next year so wasn't too bad.

So you are the other one then...

High is finally struggling out of the 3rd tier and being saved by Ken Bates...Low is Ken Bates from then to now.

Middlesbrough - Personal high point for me was the thrilling comeback against Basle in the UEFA cup quarter final. Low point was getting relegated by 2 points after having 3 points deducted for not beiong able to field a team v Blackburn in 97 and losing 2 cup finals the same year

Man City

Man City

Being a noisy neighbour i have lots of lows from the past, but now i have many highs most noteably a few weeks ago and a certain day in may when THAT banner came down.

One of my all time lows was when city were relegated to the old Div 2 but then i remember listening to the play off final where we beat Gillingham.

still a long journey but city are getting there slowly lets see if they can still be at the top in may!!!!

Every Toon supporter is haunted by the words "and now Tudor has gone down for Newcastle" closely followed by Ronnie Radford launching the ball out of the mud bath of Edgar Road that "flew into the top corner of McFaul's net" (thanks Motty!). Guaranteed to feature in every MoTD FA Cup preview/review from January to May every year.

I have supported my local team, Portsmouth, in excess of 35 years and the highs and lows have been at both extremes.

Winning the cup final in 2008 (Kanu believe it?) without war breaking out and singing my heart out at Wembley.

Low could be the administration and the Sky boys clique doing their best to put us out of business (which was nothing to do with Arry 'satchel face' Rednapp at all) but Kevin Boeteng missing a penalty in the 2010 cup final after being mauled by Chelsea and losing 1-0 was more gutting.

Having followed them from fourth division to European football (beating AC Milan 2-0 and the Fratton End singing 'Are you Bournemouth in disguise?' life is never dull in the blue half of Hampshire.
