Just had a 2 week trip to the lovely greek island of Zakynthos or Zante to us Brits.

Great place , lovely scenery and nice people.
We booked with Thomas cook after getting swapped to there from our original in Crete (thanks XL Airline)

We got to hotel and the travel rep got us signed up with a few day trips , quite pricey !!! anyway we done the trips and spoke to fellow brits on the trip and they all payed half what we did ? on all 2 trips as we cancelled the last but they charged us double (hotel reps) so what im saying to everyone is dont book trips with travel reps till you shop around first , we made a huge error and could have saved at least £70 on an already expensive island.

Dont get me wrong everything was good about the place except having that feeling of being British and we are just there to be ripped off and the Euro does not make it cheap anymore.

So if you planning next year to go to Greece , take plenty of money (we done £800 in 2 weeks on food (1 meal a day) and 3-4 beers each a day) and stay away from travel reps

apart from that enjoy , there is plenty of the younger age groups but not so much for the older ones like me now lol
