    Payroll hack

Not wrong, scammers watch out for hot news topics and play their games, people get blinded by a bit of free cash and inadvertently give away that little bit of extra data that lets them in. It’s not stupid to be scammed like this, they know what they’re doing.

    Best Worst det accomadation

Worst would be tent village at Incirlik, close second the fan assisted ovens at the BLMF (very small porta cabins with no AC) Never stayed anywhere really special but really enjoyed the Lord Nelson in Halifax when supporting a transit back from the US.

Are Uber popular in your area?

Probably danger money for that end of Cunny. Ride hailing services only really work when there’s a few about and best at non peak times, I was in Northampton a bit ago and the app I was using just linked into the local minicab network.

Anyone had a letter from mobilisation?

I still remember when it went from 9+6 continuous to 9+ 6 forever, doubt you’d pass a medical so don’t worry about it, one of the big things reservists get early demob for is teeth by the way.

Officers in an AFCO. Any branch?

Used to be mainly Admin Sec, but you did get some randoms for various reasons to dilute the pool, even more variety as area commanders. Don’t want to cast aspersions however, it would have been rare for a branch to release someone useful.

    Nicola Sturgeon to step down.

Seems like it was inevitable, always came across as someone who lacked the skills to be a leader. For some reason all the current leaders have zero charisma and personality, although there do seem to be some in the wings with a bit of warmth and charisma, on both sides.

    Iron Dome for the UK?

Read yesterday that the problem with the new drones is that they’re so cheap and simple it is a real waste to send up something cutting edge, counter measures that costs many times more just to knock them out, the Laser gun or the Radar Aimed 50 cal seems the way forward.

Your thoughts on modern cars "safety" aids?

Annoying, puts itself in park when you open a door, so no manoeuvres at slow speed in tight spaces. Also came with super smart gps cruise, slowed down on the tighter bends and near joining junctions, unfortunately if roadwork speed limiter signs were too far spaced apart it would start to speed...

Interesting pic of the modern RAF

They look more like bobbins rather than spools, but hey what would the step-son of a haberdasher know.

Shader aircraft shoot down Iranian drones

Iran runs its affairs in a similar vein to mid 80s communist countries, the ideology of the leaders supported by those with skin in the game, usual power/money. The gen pop who just want to get by have no power and live in fear. It’s a strange world at the moment, Ukraine is a walk in the park...

    Car Insurance

Martin Lewis recommends getting a quote 26 days (or thereabouts) before renewal for the best price, I did this, but then forgot about it for a few days (a couple of weeks) and the lowest quote had jumped, but these were from companies I hadn’t heard of so wouldn’t have used anyway.

    Car Insurance

Went the other way, Direct line tried a 30% increase, on top of a 30% attempt last year, backed down to 15%, and that was with an extra years of no claims. Hastings direct ended up being cheaper than last years policy, with same excesses and recovery included.

    Army beards

not in but single service identity is important, and I”m sure the army bods wouldn’t freely adopt RAF or Navy ways out of hand.
