That's Uber X rather than regular Uber so no wonder at the price. If all you have is 'X' in your area I'd suggest the competition is thin hence the ridiculous quote.

Stick to a regular Hackney cab is my recommendation.

Probably danger money for that end of Cunny.

Ride hailing services only really work when there’s a few about and best at non peak times, I was in Northampton a bit ago and the app I was using just linked into the local minicab network.

Never seen an Uber taxi in the village. As they are apparently an online taxi thing and there's probably requirement to put yet another app on your phone to get one there's zero chance of this IT biff ever working out how to book an Uber.
