Advance Claim

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
Yea but the Advance claim fires off to PSF to be checked before its paid. I assume this is proof enough and they have the details of the hotel booking and cost becuase they did it. I stayed in a hotel in Nov and did a £300 advance claim for it. Then afterwards claimed my money back for the food I ate not the hotel cost. The Advance was audited before I got back and the PSF WO said it was alright. I havent had the £300 recovered yet. Thats why I asked the question in the first place. This is doing my head in now.

I may also be one of the few that actually owe JPA Expenses!

I went to an A400M meeting last October and wanted to take Mrs ETE, so I requested that I pay for the Hotel myself but still arranged for the Travel Cell at Brize to book it for me.

I also claimed an advance before my trip, but when I went to pay my hotel bill Brize had already paid it!

So I am in debt to JPA for about £120 and there has been no mention of recovery from my pay yet or a request to pay the outstanding amount.

No I paid the hotel with my advance and that was it. I didn't claim it on my big claim after the course with my Food and Incidental Allowance and that. Therefore I owe JPA nothing and it owes me nothing. I'll be checking my Bank everyday now waiting for JPA to try and recover it. I'll be straight in getting it back. I'll be phoning PSF tomorrow and I might start shouting. I never saw any of this in the JPA help screens. And ETE if I were you I'd keep that one to myself! JPA has spys everywhere.

Listen mate read my PM. Remember JPA comes straight out of your pay not your bank you muppet:PDT_Xtremez_30:. You have been given £300 to pay for a hotel if you have not put this through as a claim you have not cancelled the advance, therefore it will remain open as a debt until you submit it as a claim on JPA.

You may not 'owe JPA anything' bit it will not know that until you tell it.

The way i expain it to my guys is that when you take an advance you set up a temprary overdraft facility with the bank of RAF. when you return from your course or what ever, you need to clear that overdraft off by submitting a claim for everything (food, accommodation, IE etc) normally within a month of taking the advance. If you dont then the bank of RAF will recover your overdraft directly from your pay, within the next couple of months.
