Jags,'winders,bang sticks and the like

Jags,'winders,bang sticks and the like

I'd heard of the AIM affinity for Jags was apparent and managed to get the story just after it happened........next thing I saw was the "Magic" armed Jag with the words "revenge is a dish best served cold" painted on it.

As for the L1a1......

.....those days it was a case of using what you got, just like today, but still it was nice to know if used properly you could drop a geezer at 400yds + if needed.

I got involved with the trials for a replacement and some of the utter kak they were coming up with was laughable...much the same as that green and black magazine dropping, 5.56 pile of spare parts we have now, and yes I have had extensive experience both firing and servicing that unadulterated pile of design flaws known as the Rifle L85 in all it's silly little guises except for the chopped off carbine version.

Ok, not so safe around kites, but what firearm is at it's usual operating range?

I'd rather put one good 7.62 round through a kite and fix it than drop an SMG underneath a kite and watch it riddle the underside....as for the 5.56....well, high velocity, say no more! and finally, just one more thing to add............

I was actually in the seat bay when the winder went for a trip over the bay, 77 to 81, then jag seats in Oman

I thought they were purely for shooting down Jaguars:PDT_Xtremez_42:

Maybe that's why the Jags got Winders!!!

(attached is old cartoon of mine (done in mid 85) that had the misfortune to be stored under a single man room sink, that sprung a leak one day (hence the water damage on the left hand side), Flatpackdoom is not the only guy on the goat that can draw).
