Thanks TM!! I'm on my way up there as we speak, just pulled out of Newcastle as it happens.

First class each way (Grantham - Edinburgh) £25 with my Forces Railcard. Not bad eh?

I really enjoyed it which is quite scary. No real problems during the run with the wind behind me for the first 18 which unfortunately meant it was against me for the last 8.

I did get to sample some nice horizontal rain as well but luckily it was only a couple of showers.

Really happy with my time though and I think I might put my name down for the Loch Ness Marathon in October.
