Im supprised the Baltic fleet still do not use the trusty trawler come spy boat!.

It's one thing to confuse a F3 with a GR4, but how did they manage to print a picture of a Sukhoi-27 'Flanker' instead of a 'Bear'?

Not wanting to be a complete spotter but surely the russian a/c doesn't match the description in the article. The a/c in the pic doesn't look like it's 161ft long.

haha they seem to have amended their earlyer mistake and then made an even bigger c0ck up journo's absolutly bloody useless

Hey, don't joke - with the spams coming up with the wonderful idea of stationing anti-missile missiles in Poland and the radars in the Czech Republic, Putin and the Russians are mightily p!ssed off and are developing the Iskander missile system tout suite now, which is more difficult to destroy as it has a random flight trajectory. Missile subs are redeploying to the North Polar regions of Russia, and intelligence services are being stepped up.

This means the ABM treaty will be totally trashed - something the yanks have been ignoring for years now anyway. The Russians reckon that the yanks have ignored agreements to be less belligerent since the collapse of the USSR, so they've gone back hardline again. Mind you, when you have all these missiles pointing at you from countries next door to you, even though they're supposed to be pointed at North Korea and Iran (?), it's not exactly reassuring is it?

Here we go again - QRA, Taceval, Mineval,...

Punchy Chickens you mean!! (ex 111, you understand)

Ah.................the memories, 7 days on Q walking around in shorts and t shirt during taceval. being stopped by DI staff for wearing blues instead of warry stuff (ex 111 here too ) ::P:

Two Tornado F3 fighters took off from RAF Leuchars in Fife and intercepted the Bears in international airspace.

Well, I for one, would like stand up and congratulate the fine engineers at RAF Leuchars for managing to obtain 2 serviceable jets in the first place!
A round of applause ladies and gents if you please!!!!:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Ok if we must, clap, clap, but we as a GR4 sqn can't say we are fairing much better at the mo........hanger full of aircraft, just a pity at least 50% of them are U/S and have no manpower or spares to work them.

If this is the future i don't wanna be here.......

Crack on...............:PDT_Xtremez_09:

Ha ha ha
Same all round.
I just finished a night shift where we have 75% of our aircraft u/s. All of them have come from DARA as well................................

Douglas Bader wouldn't have put up with that.
He would have been straight on the phone to some poor supplier, and shouted at hime untill he got the spares he needed to get his Sqn serviceable.:PDT_Xtremez_30:
