Funny old thing!

Funny old thing!

I think you'll find it was the same person on that board who just did this one too!

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. I'm still leaving in 2 years though...honestly!?! :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Come on Norm.....its like that commercial from the 70's about smoking with the baddie Nick o'teen.........sign on, you know it makes sense, then you may get your crown out of it.

Great news though and I hope it works out well for you and get a decent posting.

Think not. Anyway better a Wobbly as trade specialist who really knows the score than a Flt Lt with no Sqn experiance.

Trust me the trade is picking up in terms of promotion for the moment.

As someone who had that Wobbly as my flugel at BZN, then my Wobbly at Lossie & back at BZN, I'd say that if he's choosing people, he's going to be picking them on merit, not through favouritism. I had a few bow lockings off him, but if you were in the right, he'd back you to the hilt.

Good luck to all that get your third.....I've still got a bigger tax free pension than you'll get:PDT_Xtremez_15:

If Dantura or Loan Ranger are successful...good on you lads, mine's a Guinness!!

Thanks for your best wishes ex-Stacker but it was a year too early for me, I know a few people who did get it and you know them as well so if you want names then ring me (you know where I work, there's a couple that will shock you or make you glad you pressed the eject button mate)

I totally agree, I wasn't trying to suggest he was commiting favouritism.
I've worked for him too, top geezer. If he thinks you're worth promoting then you are!

be advised guys there's a draft to the glasshouse in essex up for grabs

Nice one Norman!

At this point I don't want to belittle the fact that these guys at Bzn got picked up, far from it in these days of Options for Change revisited!

It just seems quite coincidental don't you think. I remember the same thing happening at Bruggen about 7-8 years ago....who says lightening doesn't strike twice.

Nevermind, as Tashy Man says....crack on!

Are you talking about the time that a certain Dinger was on the prom board.

There ia aso a slot on 2 Sqn RAF Regiment at Honington to fill. They have just returned from Khandahar and are off to Bhasra in Jan 08 for a 7 month tour. Who would want to take that slot? They deploy every year and being the only supplier on the Sqn the SNCO always has to go.

How far down the list will PMA get with that one?

Good luck to them I say!:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Oh yeah and I got mine too but I'm not at Brize!

Just applied for my Milletts store card and booked my spine removal operation!

:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Any luck Dantura???

Norman

Nice one mate, a long time coming! So thats beer for that and you still owe for the "Peacekeepers" documentary "My names Norman and I'm a combat Stacker, I've got 20 million litres of fuel and I keep the loy 'cos I'm a selfish Barsteward!" Sorry to be tardy but I've been away, see you in the old codgers club sometime (Don't forget your Farahs!)

Thanks Stax. I can finally smell of wee & biscuits like you now. No more 'exotic' dancers for me in the pub ay?
I'll be 'up your end' later this year so we'll have to go out for a wee drop or two. Laters mate!

The slot on 2 Sqn RAF Regiment is still up for grabs after the latest newly promoted person turned it down. How many people who have been selected would accept the slot if it was offered to them, taking into account if you turn it down PMA are not offering another posting, you simply lose your promotion?

Over to the forum..................

Have heard that with JPA that it's not like when you were offered promotion then you could speak to the desk about the slots available. Now they send you a workflow notification and if you refuse it they take it that you've also turned down the promotion so JPA is the new double edged sword from the Shiney world...

Not necessarily.. I got a slip of paper and invite to the WO's office. Accepted the offer, promoted and posted. A month AFTER my posting I get a JPA workflow to tell me that I've been offered promotion, accept or decline.

Well I'm in the new job anyway but f*ck it, don't want them now.

I believe all the TSW slots have been allocated now. Only that desirable post at MCTC Colchester left to fill now.

Who fancies that? Not I? :PDT_Xtremez_21:

I'm filling one of the TSW slots.

Wasn't one of my choices but looking forward to it nonetheless.

I cant believe the MCTC one hasn't been snapped up; if only I'd known :PDT_Xtremez_34:
