Bless. I remember when I was that optimistic.

Give it a few more years and you'll start to realise locats are usually just empty, dusty spaces or the hiding place of that part you were looking for last week.

I've been in the RAF now long enough to realise where it falls down however DLF does work. There is no point being bitter and twisted if something works then give it the praise it deserves. The contract has been running for 2 years now (so I'm informed) without any problems that I or any of my colleagues have encountered and is continually expanding at USERS request!!!

WOW that's told you

No, not really. I've been called out by bigger and better and am still smiling.

You see many people in the Supply world used to have a sense of black humour and a healthy does of cynicism too which it seems Little Miss RAF Bird (alright, thats patronising I'll give you that) wasn't issued with at Halton.

I'm sure DLF is fantastic, anything connected with a civvy contractor is usually sold as such. The problem is all these 'local' solutions are sticky plasters over a much more serious problem with the supply chain and really these problems should be sorted rather than grafting on special little bodges that can solve specific cases.

Patronising? Not really.

Cynical? To the extreme.

Boring?? Yes!!

What a re-treat, that was not any sort of banter what so ever no matter how much you pretend you were trying (and failed) to be funny! If you don't understand humour have a look in the dictionary.

I'm sure when you were in the RAF that there were lots of problems with the supply chain blah blah and yes there still are plenty of problems with it. However this thread is about DLF and how it works as originally asked by ramp rat.

Right I've bitten enough, I'll get my hat!!

well it just seems that most of supply is starting to go Civi, which is quite worrying. Heard the rumour that most/all of Cyprus is going civi, whats next civi fighter pilots!!! god forbid

Mate unless you haven't noticed most of the RAF is being civillianised it's not just a supply thing. The day will come where jets wont need pilots sat in them, they'll be controlled by someone sat behind their computer at another location (just like the ssh sshh one's we have now!!)
