Isn't that what being an England fan is in any sport. We are full of hope and expectations at the beginning and get let down.

I follow rugby league and everytime we play the Aussies the speccies believe it is going to be this time. We have one good game against them thus building our hopes even higher but when it comes to the crunch we get embarressed.

Roll on the european championships in 2 years that will be our time. Lol

No doubt come August, those multi-millionaire prima-donnas will be back to their best, kissing their club badges to the delight of their 40,000 supporters, whilst the rest of the country will hate them.

Today they had a chance to get the eternal support of 50 million and they blew it.

W@nkers.

Well.

I've just got back to the house and can hear the rejoicing all around me.

It was actually a good game as far as tension went. Just a shame that England were rubbish.

I went to a local bar to watch the game and I wore my England shirt.

As the only English guy in a packed German bar, someone commented at how brave I was!! "Ha, a typical Englishman, always ready to face defeat" he said.

But as the game progressed, more than a couple of beers appeared on my table, courtesy of the locals who were obviously saddened by my plight!!!!

The Germans were traditionally hospitable and I thank them for that. Although, I did remind them that we will be resurgent in four years time

Now where's that song? "They're going home, they're going home, they're going home, they're going........England's eleven multi millionaires are going home.....":PDT_Xtremez_26:

Absolute crap!!!!!!! Why persist with a formation that wasn't working with players who weren't performing? Gerrard on the left FFS. Alright it worked against Slovenia so I guess it'll work against a decent team then. Oh how wrong he was. Now am I wrong in saying the Italians collaberated with Germany during the war? Could that be why C(r)apello played the system/players he did? Wayne the white Pele, my fecking arse. More the white pen!s. Ok so he wasn't the only one to perform but if he wasn't playing well why persist. The inquest will be a long drawn out process. Anyway Argies are going to win.

Who's that electrical retailer who said they'd give you £10 for every goal england score if you bought a tv. Would you bother going and claiming your £30

Eleven multi millionaire dummy spitting, throwback, waste of blood and f***ing organs. Put them on a f***ing rowing boat and make them row home.

Better still, make them repay the fans that spent thousands going out to South Africa to support them and let them compensate all the businesses that gave people the afternoon off to watch them play Slovakia.

The thing is why did evryone write ze germans off in the first place, they are never a walk over in a tournament.

They`re a poor side. If you watch the Bundesliga you`ll see Muller is an awful player, but keeps Klose out of the team. Podolski infamously detests Klose, and also can`t get a game. Gomes is terrible. The centre-halves are ponderous.
When they play a decent side they`ll be knocked out. But they won`t be humiliated like our shower of shiite.

It comes back to the manager. He said he`d pick players playing regularly for their club. He didn`t. He said he`d pick players on form. He didn`t. He should be able to put players in their regular club positions. He didn`t.

Poor squad. Poor team. Poor tactics.

As was said at the start, how many of the Germans would get in the England side ? Well, on paper perhaps just Lahm for Johnson. So worst case scenario, go like for like all over the pitch and match them up, and we should run out on top. The Eeytie couldn`t even get that right.
