I would like to see the WC here in 2018 and am impressed by the amount of backing from various people.

What does grip a little though is the lack of unity. Why oh Why couldnt the BBC have shown its documentary after the bid!!! FFS

Now FIFA will be on the defensive and thanks to all those retarded Fans from last nights Villa/Brum game they have a perfect excuse to not go with our bid.

I know there is a massive rivalry between the two sides but FFS true footy fans would possibly have taken into account todays events and made sure it went smoothly. I hope that if we do lose and the trouble is blamed then any individual involved in the trouble last night is banned from all football grounds for life and publicly shamed

England has done a hell of a lot for the good of football over the years.

We've led the way in trying to eradicate hooliganism and racsim, although we've still some way to go of course
We've set up projects overseas using football as a vehicle to carry educational programs to youngsters
We have one of the best attended leagues, week in week out, in the world
We have the stadia built here and now, we could run the world cup next week if necessary
We are a compact country so travel between venues is not a massive trek for teams or fans
Russia is run by its mafia and is institutionally racist
Spain and Portugal are about to have their economies propped up by injections of cash

The Panorama programme was simply an exercise in journalsitic self-aggrandisement but its typical of the arrogant way our media behaves. Its why, as Lisa Simpson said of her buffoon father, 'we can't have nice things', as soon as we try the media tries to scupper it.

If England can't win a bid to host the world cup this time round, and I don't think we will as we are simply too unpopular around the world, then I doubt I'll ever see it staged here again in my lifetime. 2022 is being dealt with this time round, 2026 is unlikely to be in Europe so we're up to 2030.

And the night before the bid the Brummies start the whole hooligan debate up again!

OUT-fcuking-rageous

Russia buys one world cup with Mafia cash

Qatar that hotbed of world football steeped in the history of the game just buy the next one.

Bloody disgusting.

WHAAAAT?????

How the ****???? I must have forgot all the history of football that England has and how we are the best prepared country to hold any large footballing event.

I do find it funny however that Zurich just happens to be the place where all the hush hush Swiss bank accounts are based hmmm Arab billionaires!!!!! Russian Mafia bosses!!!! not much of a chance of the whole thing being corrupt then with that much cash lining FIFA officials pockets. Either that of the girls lining their beds, well from the Russians more than the Arabs.

Lets just wait and see what stadiums are used or sorry built to accomodate the world cup in 2018 and 2022 accordingly as they dont already exist.

On the good side however the vodka and women are abundant and cheap in Russia and you'd get a good tan in Qatar even the top totty has to cover up their whole body apart from a letter box for their eyes.

Oh well back to work **yawn**

Rant over

Farce

Farce

Well i thought we might have had a shout but knocked out in first round of voting stinks when you concider what opposition countries have to offer.

As for 2022, well there could be a need for combat training for the England team before they go there. IF THEY QUALIFY!!!!!!!

It's FIFA. It's football.

What can you expect?

To be honest though, I am not entirely sure this isn't for the best.

This is another kick in the teeth for England but not entirely out of character from the Federation of International Fraudulent Ar$eholes!!!!! those Russian hookers and the backhanders must have worked a treat!!!!!

And as for Qatar 2022 thats going to be a winner!!!! limited alcohol if any anti-jewish (I hope Israel qualify)! who honestly will go there to watch that??? And its going to be in the 40+ degrees there!!!!!! I fear we could see the first player to die in a world cup!!!!! well done Mr Blatter you pompous self serving corrupt arrogant tw@t!!!!:PDT_Xtremez_09:

The next realistic chance for us to host a world cup will be 2030, I hope I do see a world cup here before I die,:S but at least in 2030 most of the FIFA executive will have expired :PDT_Xtremez_19:

well done Mr Blatter you pompous self serving corrupt arrogant tw@t!!!!:PDT_Xtremez_09:

This is exactly what it boils down to. By 2022 3 out of 4 world cups will have been hosted by football's developing nations because its Blatter's grand plan to leave that as his legacy. He called the shots in the voting and directed the delegates to vote accordingly; in other words they make it up as they go along.
In that context England's bid never stood a chance, nor did Spain/Portugal's for that matter. All the money spent putting the bid together was wasted from the outset. Similarly, S Korea, Japan and the USA, all having staged the tournament in the last few years never stood an earthly against that footballing outpost Qatar.
The galling thing is, if one of the organising nations screws things up and FIFA need an emergency host, where are they going to look? Well Blatter said it himself - organising a World Cup in England would be easy.

Is there any wonder that FIFA kicked out the England bid after watching Panorama on Monday. A lot of them have, shall we say, "interesting former lives" before joining FIFA, so why spend the next 8 years getting ripped to shreds by our much vaunted, investigative journalists.

FIFA's corrupt, always has been, and the IOC's even worse - fact, get over it, accept it and learn to play it they they want it. Same with the Al-Yamahma deal (Tornados/Hawks to Saudi in mid 80s), back-handers and palm-greasing is the way of the World out there, so play by their rules.

Naivety at the BBC f*cked this up for us - good and proper !!

Qatar bid

Qatar bid

I read an article that the Qatari's demonstrated to FIFA an air conditioned 5 a side pitch, to a height of 3 metres. And all the stadia that they are going to build are going to be taken down at the end of the WC and will be donated and erected at needy footballing countries, at the Qatari's expense.

Now thats a selling point.

Did anyone see the Japanese bid ?
Now that was a technology led mutts nuts fest.
Basically they would play the games live in their stadia, and simultaneously broadcast a 3D holographic picture into other selected stadiums around the world.
Imagine that, England v Germany and you can go to the game in Japan, Old Trafford, The Emirates, Munich, or just down the pub.

So we lost because of, That Sunday Times article, That Panorama program, the fact that loads of brummies knocked lumps out of each other last night. Russia won by bribery and corruption, by being mafia run, by virtue of never holding one before. The conspiracy crowd will have a field day, dig in chaps, theorise to your hearts content, simply it's not us. Our next chance to bid is 2030. So as it will be 64 years since 1966 a whole generation of Englishmen will have never watched a world cup at the "motherland of football" (blatters words). But every cloud has a silver lining I was around for the last one we staged, just got to hope for another 20 years.

An idea

An idea

How about the SKY-RED BULL-VIRGIN PREMIER WORLD CUP?
Go on FA get in touch with SKY, maybe VIRGIN and RED BULL all who could get a few quid together and we can have our own world cup.

I get the impression a lot of people are laughing at us.....
