Ex Red going down.

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
The daily Wail keeps pumping out the kind of PR the RAF and the reds don't want.

The RAF doesn't want the "1/2 truth" being out on the public domain where camaraderie and teamwork is actually a myth put out there as spin. The reality however...................

The Times catching on a avoid taking out on the Blues day by taking it out on the Reds. Oh, What is the betting that Blue on Blue is half the issue. Not been unknown for SNCOs to be complete wankers that should be sent down.

BBC in on the story now and including a fact that almost never gets air time

"The Red Arrows team is more than the pilots. With its support team and ground crew, it is 130 strong."

Yes it's true readers apart from the nine guys in red and the bu11shit start team of nine in blue there are dozens of hard grafting folk who are never mentioned and largely ignored.

40 people making statements if true, is more than the Aircrew and Circus. Everyone in display season wears blue as far as groundcrew is concerned.

*** WARNING: PERSONAL OPINION AND MY PERCEPTION !!!!!! *** The RED ARROWS are a microcosm of the RAF. HOWEVER..... When there are lots of microcosms having problems in an organisation then it leads and points to a bigger cultural issue. The British Army has lead the way in this for years. And NO. That isn't an endorsement. IMHO the RAF was going this way with bigger cultural issues tinged with a nastiness from MOD through to Station HRs and Line Management more interested in making things more difficult to screwing-you-over despite simpler, more elegant solutions being available to sort day-to-day problems.

Back in the day this ex-reds ground crew bod, and the rest, wore bog standard dark green denims for work and only the "elite" starter ground crew the public saw were permitted the personalised navy blue denims.

The super heroes wore red, their sidekicks wore blue and the rest of us wore green. Times may have changed

Today the 'Reds' were due to use Norwich Airport to launch and then recover back to for their displays at Wattisham and Clacton.....

Due to the weather (or whether there are other reasons)? The team are now using Marham to launch and recover from for today's displays.....

Now the cynic in me would say it's rather convenient, as due to the negative and dirt diggin' media etc, and regarding the current sheet storm that the probing press are scratchin' around for....Well, a secure airbase and restricted access would allow the team and its members to operate without the intrusion of the savage media and the curious public and give 'em a bit o' breathing space...."Smoke an' mirrors an' all that"....

Although the weather is currently pretty shoite in North East Norfolk - but thankfully maybe not 40 ish miles North Westish o' Nodge?.....

Times have changed and have done so for quite a few years.

Indeed. But the weather is rubbish over NWI so assume the reason is that.

However, local news reckoned there was even worse weather in the west of the county...
The truth will not come out. Not surprised as poor Saxonair fence line would have been packed with Hacks. I used to enjoy having the Reds taxy past my 2K parked on stand one. Alas, no longer at NWI.

It's ok folks he's written a letter to everyone, backed up by a Air force Board meeting on the 7th September.

"Chief of the Air Staff Sir Mike Wigston the head of the Royal Air Force has written to all his personnel"

'In his letter, he insisted the goal of having 40% women recruits and 20% from the ethnic minorities will strengthen the service and will have no impact on standards or operations'

As a complete outsider what is your thoughts on the human race Sir.

The mans a fool and should be dealt with accordingly.
Sacked.

There is no real reason why those percentages should weaken the service at all or have any impact on standards or operations PROVIDED the people being recruited meet the appropriate standards the same as any other recruit. What weakens the service is lowering recruiting standards specifically to fill quotas or, just as bad & perhaps worse, leaving 'spaces' unfilled because the only potential recruits coming forward are the wrong colour or gender.

He certainly stands accused of the latter if the media are to be believed and that would be a failure to fulfil his duty.

So as we know recruits are vetted to a certain limit through background checks etc. So to recruit numbers from ethnic minorities etc and to appease this buffoon will certain checks be overlooked as to show numbers are increasing. Lets recruit gimmigrants to show how we are extremely diverse to a point of a threat to National Security.
