FOA Cse 1000 - What no milestone celebration

The problem we have is that we dont have a vast database of numbers/addresses to go on.
I feel that the team that have put this event together (I'm not on it) have done a very good job putting this together even with the day to day pressures that go along with the job at TTF (and you know this well) Theres not just cse 1000 at TTF but also 1001,2 and 3 arrive in 2 weeks.

When people start to criticise what they have been doing it makes my blood boil because I can see how much of their own time the guys have put into this.

Anyway, I will apoligise on behalf of the team for anybody who hasn't/should have been sent an individual invite but if you still would like to attend, please email us! It will be a cracking night and the band that is lined up is fantastic.

Errr, yes you do. The FOM list is a good starting point, that has details of numerous ex-instructors on it, I know, as I had a peek today! Now I may be scrabbling around in the dark, but is there not a TTF Ex-Instructors association? If not, maybe this back slapping party would be an ideal place to start one up. You could kill two birds with one stone then!

I'm talking about ex TG9 that are not in anymore, and no, there isn't an association! Not a bad idea though.

Everyone on the FOM list should have been covered by the invite sent to unit PFOMS.
(Apologys to the FOA/M's who are not at a main base)

You know that may be true but by talking to ex-instructors and pupils I'm sure a fair few could have been tracked down.....Facebook?

We all know the pressures of TTF and courses that are going through the treadmill, in my mind not an issue, as it should run smoothly with all the joining instuctions and course prep being done well in advance of them arriving. So sorry that is not a good answer, Been there, Done it, Got the t-shirt, Drank the beer and watched an ex-instructor eat 32 Pringles in 1 monthful (not pretty).

Maybe in the planning phase most of what has been said would have been picked up and could have been sorted months ago, after all the 1st post I made was the back end of March. When did they start with all the planning?

Sorry if I'm upseting the current crop TTF instructors but it just wouldn't have made the cut a few years ago.

Feel free to find out who I am and have a chat on the night or day if I can get time off work or refund my money if you think I'm no longer welcome.

I said don't take it personally mate, I was just commenting that maybe just maybe some individual invites should have gone out. I know the contact details of 2 ex SIs, one ex WO CATCS, two ex WO TG9 and I know how to get hold of one ex OCTTF. It's not hard to ask.

I will say it again, this is not an attack on the team, it's just an observation for Cse 2000!

Opsgeek hi,

you said that you were apologising for persons who had not recieved personal invites. Does that mean personal invites were sent? Can't imagine Stn Cdr Shawbury, OC CATCs, OC FOTS and the like got an email forawrded via the Shawbury PFOM.

Smacks of inside/ outside box thinking to me.

Only R0jaws could have made less of an effort.

Just been looking back at the last few post and I'd like to say and make the point that I am in no way having a go at the Instructors in TTF, they do a wonderful job with limited resources in an Air Force that is constantly cutting back where it matters. Those that know me, will know that I have stood up for the trade and for the Instructors at TTF.

So if I have offended any of you then I apologise, the point I am trying to make is that, this forthcoming event probably hasn't had the support that it deserved from the top and so the reunion has suffered. That said, I still stand by what I've said about organisation i.e. lack of invitations send out to those that matter and have heard through the grapevine what is happening. That, I'm afraid stands with the i/c of the committee, if in fact there is a committee?

Anyway I am looking forward to meeting up with old friends and enjoy a good nite with hopefully top food and entertainment.
