Gemarriot has unfortunately been told by the vet that he has to shed some weight or he'll be seeing the man upstairs sooner than he should. 4 stone 4 pounds or 60 pounds to be exact but as you can probably guess, he does like a beer and kebab every so often!
So, as an incentive to him he's going to do it sponsored. He has been ordered to the gym 5 times a week, although that probably involves at least 3 sessions of oggling the local birds, and the docs have told us they can provide a weekly weigh in for the supersized armourer.
Now, wheres the sponsorship fit in? Well, we have been told on the recent charities thread about the Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS) guys at Selly Oak. They are the first guys to see the wounded back from war zones, and from what we have heard sometimes are dropped off literally with only the Desert DPM they wear. Gem has said himself that the thought that the lads coming back would pretty much be counting on him to make their lives more comfortable would also help him to shed the weight, and what e-goat aims to do is provide some essentials to the center. That are taken for granted like something to read (in the form of Nuts / Zoo / magazine subscriptions) something to wear for those without, and possibly more depending on the size of the pot.
We'll be running two different ways of sponsoring and one for people just to donate to the cause. Either way it will all end up helping the injured that get treated at Selly Oak.
Payment will have to be made either by direct bank transfer to the bank of e-goat, or by cheque payable to e-goat sent to mingmong (Treasurer). Details of the account to follow from the accountants.
This is all for a worthy cause, so dig deep and help the lads and lasses returning from battle.

- A small sponsorship per pound lost - Exactly what it says on the tin, for every pound lost a small amount goes in the pot. Now seen as the target is 60 pounds if you pledge say 50p per pound, it'll end up as a total of £30 donated, 20p per pound works out to £12 and you can have any permeatation in between. It's almost like a staged donation to the pot.
- A lump sum sponsorship - Again, exactly what it says on the tin except theres no rolling total, you pledge the amount but only payable once the man has shed his load.
- Straight donation - No messing about, just money straight in the coffers to be used to make the wounded comfortable at Selly Oak.
