Hope fully some of you will remember me doing the Great North Run last year for Guide Dogs.
Link to last year's thread

Well after the fantastic support I got last year from E-Goaters I'm back again cap in hand. I'm doing it for Diabetes UK this year, again the charity is close to home as my Dad has lived with the condition for over 20 years now. And while he does live with it, I have seen first hand the effects it does have on him sometimes.

So, if you can spare any cash to sponsor me, please visit:

Deans Great North Run 2008

Thanks again :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Just got my race number through. 19946. A lot further up the field than last year.
My trainings going great at the moment. Been out running up to 10 miles without any dramas and I'm hoping to knock around 20 mins or more off last years time.
If you can spare any pennys to sponsor me please visit the link below.

Thanks again.

Hello,

I've had an idea that if I get £100 or more in sponsorship from Goaters that I'll print off a 'Sponsored by EGoat' motif on iron on transfer paper and stick it on the back of my Diabetes UK running vest for the Great North Run.

What do you reckon??

Cheers for your time (and your sponsorship!)

Oh, and just to be necky. If anyone is able to help with the 'Sponsored by EGoat' motif, that'd be great as I am a slight biff with Photoshop.

Mnay thanks.

Come on lads and lasses get behind Stacker on this.

It is a for a very good cause, I know from personal experience some of the problems diabetes causes an the British Diabetic association is a very good organisation.

I look forward to seeing our goat leading the way.

I've kicked off the donations with a tenner so 9 more here please:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Mornin all,

This time next week, I shall be making my way from the campsite to the start line. Hopefully with the Goat on my back (the logo that is).

I've got a 13 mile route to run this morning :PDT_Xtremez_09:, I'll let you know how I get on if and when I get back :PDT_Xtremez_31:

The current update for E-Goat is

£30 sponsored, £70 to go.

Thank you :PDT_Xtremez_30:

I'll give you a tenner mate.
Good luck with it.
I'd never have pegged you as a runner when I first met you!!:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Come on boys n girls, dig into your pockets and sponsor stacker1195.

Thanks Mr M! I think the turning point was that time I ripped my jeans trying to get into the Land Rover outside 78. I think you were there and extended the usual techie sympathy :PDT_Xtremez_42:

BTW, if you saw a bright yellow glow going past your window this morning, that would have been my running shirt when I was going out for or coming back from this run.
This mornings run

Did it in 1h 51m. Bring on next Sunday!!!!!

Well we're busy packing ready to drive up to the campsite at South Shields tomorrow.

I know I said a hundred pounds but £40 was close enough for me. E-Goat now adorns my running vest for Sunday. I'll post pics from the run after the weekend.

Thanks again for all your support. I'll try and keep you posted over the weekend (depending on my phone battery).

BTW, if anyone else would like to sponsor me... :PDT_Xtremez_15:

All the best and I'll be looking out for the vest on TV :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Crack on.............................:PDT_Xtremez_09:

Look out for number 19946 on a Diabetes UK vest (the one with the Goat on the back:PDT_Xtremez_19: ) If its cold, I'm planning on wearing my Hi Viz YELLOW running t-shirt underneath it so that'll make me even easier to spot :PDT_Xtremez_30:
