I forgot to do the donate, so I just did it and added another fiver mate.
£15 from me. Good luck fella.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

I've just got back home after a very contrasting last 36 hours. Once again I had a fantastic day on the run. I set out with a goal of 1hr 45mins. I was to find out that I had set the bar a bit too high as I flew through the first 8 miles only to find myself flagging soon after. I eventually finished in a time in a time of 1hr 56mins 16mins quicker than last year, which I was well pleased with. I also had quite a few people ask me about E-Goat which they noticed on my back, I gave them the lowdown so hopefully some interest should come this way.
Unfortunately I was soon to be brought hurtling back down to earth as I received a phonecall from my mum saying that my Grandad was critical with pneumonia. He died at 2 this morning. I WILL be doing the run again next year for the Stroke Association in memory of Grandad.

Sorry fella, missed the thread update for some reason.
Good effort on the run and so sorry to hear your sad news.
Take care mate.

I only just spotted this. Very well done, Deanno.
You know who I am.

Cheers, mate.
Grumpy.

Evenin all,
Got a letter from Diabetes UK yesterday thanking me for running for them and confirming that I had raised £487 before gift aid. £55 of this was sponsored by Goaters so I just want to say a big THANK YOU!! for all your support again. As I mentioned in a previous post on this thread I will hopefully be running next year's run for the Stroke Association in memory of my Grandad who passed away in the small hours after this years run. I will be getting in contact with the Stroke Association now Diabetes UK have banked my sponsorship and I'll keep you posted as to what happens.

Many, many thanks again for your support and kind words :PDT_Xtremez_30:

Just to let you know that I managed to get my own place in this year's GNR. I've been in touch with Stroke Association and I will be running for them this year in memory of my Grandad. I'm not asking for sponsorship now, this is just a bit of a heads up.
