Wonder how many have been tru the Hairy Monster that worked in the JR mess at Bruggen....:0

rumour has it 20+ cratws fot first one to go there, she looked like a cross between Hair Bear, ronald mcdonald and a prop forward. drank pints, smoked roll ups and wore boots.

gallantry award needed for anyone who did go there

As has been stated, the Ginger haired behemoth was called Honey Monster and did indeed work in the JR mess at Bruggen and the Chicken Inn - with Herman the German and the cloggy woman who would shout 'we need some ships in the shteak bar' when needing resupply.

I seem to remember that the HM had a reward totalling some 30+ crates of beer for anyone brave enough to get strapped across her, and to provide evidence!

One of the firemen decided to take her on one night after a long session in the Dagmar (Naffi's unofficial name after the old Crossbow was renovated) one night.

Not sure how far he actually got, but I do know that he added 10 crates to the 'bounty' for the next unfortunate who tried.

BTW Off Topic

I went into Clothing Stores one day, and watch the Sgt Stacker measure up Herman the German ( a cook in the JR mess) for a new white cooks jacket. Funniest thing I ever saw, as H the G was a right fat fcuker and none of the tape measures were long enough to go around his portl frame.
So, ever the inventive type, Sgt Stacker used a reel of boot lace to measure him up.

I thought I was going to be sick from the stiffled laughter I was suppressing.

Ah Happy Days!
