How's the RAF coping

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
This is the Goat the unofficial rumour service about all things RAF. Remembering at all times that OP Sec is paramount But how is the service coping with the dreaded Covid 19?

Training establishments I guess are finding it extremely difficult to practice social distancing whether that's Phase 1 initial training with drill, weapon training, classroom sessions etc or Phase 2 training, from memory most of the classrooms at Cosford are to small for 17 people to properly practice 2metre spacings. Out in the wider RAF the working environment must surely have undergone changes in systems. Are haircuts suspended etc etc. So chaps how's is Betty Windsors flying circus coping?

Where will it end....!!!!?????:eek::rolleyes:
Uniform optional except for formal parades, saluting commissioned ranks ended as an equality initiative.

You heard it here first on this unofficial rumour site.;)

Hair pieces is the name of the game, as far as I know not against regs. I know lots of service folks who have worn them over the years. Monday braids, Tuesday ponytail, Wednesday curls........ the SWO will have palpitations...... 😈

I'm beginning to worry about the Station Barbers...How will they cope?

Instead of getting ansty about this why not have some fun and test the breaking strain of the powers that be who initiate this sort of thing. Grow everything you are now entitled to then be seen out in public as much as possible to incite anger in the general public. Perhaps start a group on camp and have reportable positions like OIC Dreadlocks Appreciation Society. Those things can get pretty whiffy so make sure you follow the production process to get the max whiff out of them.

So - beard, long hair or dreadlocks - or a nice tidy Manbun or even A Ponytail...and then tattoos for the bits in between?

All of them...really go for a look that says 'I am a model airman'.

I take it that this doesn’t apply to the army? Changing the guard at buck house with Queens Colour Sqn will be interesting if they ever let them do it again. Will they apply pressure on QCS to keep hair short?
