And whilst the our Sailor bretheran transfer all their info across to JPA, us Air Firce chappies won't be able to access the wonderful system between 14 - 22 Oct.

Good eh?******
Same thing will happen when the Army go on line in March next year. More free leave anyone.

Sounds like the best time to have some "free" leave! You didn't see me right (taps side of nose...)

Since JPA came online all my Absence Requests have disappeared into the ether, net result is that whilst I am sat here having a week off I still have 40+ days leave :PDT_Xtremez_30: Even my 'parent unit'/JPAC don't seem to be able to sort the problem!

Major Geek - NPD = Non Public Defecit, and is I believe the new name for overissues. That said, why the one that we've all been having credited/debited for the last few months is on our paychits is anyones guess!

All for me and none for you

One high ranking officer I spoke to recently said "If we don't pay someone something, think of the money we're saving the tax-payer"

Remind me to speak to JPA to stop his pay.

JPA when given a chance will work quite well, that is, once the teething troubles we are experiencing are all solved. The biggest problem with JPA at the moment is the sheer lack of training all-round. By that I mean once the JPAC team are trained, and the PSF (Sorry - HR Admin) are trained and they change that ridiculous opening banner ‘if you have any problems contact the JPAC’ to something sensible like ‘if you have a problem, make your Admin office or PSF your first port of call’ JPA will work quite well.

It's not the fact that JPA doesn't or won't work which bothers people it's the fact that no one higher up seems to be making the effort. PSFs (yes we are once more PSFs (thank God)) are writing their own procedures books on how to do things as the on-line stuff is totally useless. The old mates network is also helping as clerks are ringing mates at other units for help. The only good thing is they have finally listened to the fact that there is a need for blue suits to be in the JPAC during the bedding in period (I'm glad I'm not one of the poor mugs lumbered with that one!). Once the capabilities of the system are understood I'm sure things will improve. It's just a typical MOD new equipment introduction, ie under-funded, under-tested and not yet understood.:PDT_Xtremez_34:

JPA Expenses and HTD / FIA

JPA Expenses and HTD / FIA

Be warned, there is a new JPA service bulletin which says you have to abate mileage claims by any HTD you get and any subsistence claim by any FIA you get. You thought it would be automated, oh no. Worse still the process is not at all obvious. If you get it wrong, they will simply reject your claim (check them to see they get paid). The scribblies are going to come out with a noddy guide - it took the long-suffering PSF chap 1/2 an hour to talk me though it today - it's not their fault it's such a pain - can't wait for the Navy to get on, they won't take the cr*p we do! :PDT_Xtremez_08:

Jpac The Perfect Posting

Jpac The Perfect Posting

Hi peeps,

Heard that JCRAP are establishing up to 12 RAF posts permanently to help them out (even though there has been a element of RAF there for the last 2 mths, but shhh JCRAP don't want you to know that and the RAF personnel have been told not to use their ranks on the phone).
Looks like the posts are 2 Sgts, 4 Cpls and 6 Airmen/Airwomen, so don't delay speak to your relevant Chf Clks today, you know you want too!!!!

Merry Crimbo JPAC!

Merry Crimbo JPAC!

I would just like to wholeheartedly wish JPA/JPAC a sincere merry crimbo on behalf of me , my wife and my one week old daughter for docking £400 pouds out of my wages for no reason whatsoever, and the oh so kind promise that it will 'probably sort itself out next month..'

cheers!

Amp's Useless Views On Jpa

Amp's Useless Views On Jpa

Had to laugh at yet another useless report by AMP on the latest status regarding our beloved JPA.
Is he really that stupid to believe that the Navy haven't had problems, several of my Matlows have had their pay cocked up either by no CEA payment, wrong level on the pay scale and accom charges. Must be nice living up on his cloud with his minions kissing his arse.

However, in my earlier thread about assignments for blue suits in JCRAP, he has officially stated it in that report, so just want to say that you heard it here first folks!!!

Some people really know how to talk cobblers. Here, a couple of matelots have had probs, despite being here for over a year!

The only way the powers that be will get excited is when the pay gets screwed up and they have problems on the same scale as we, the non-commissioned brethern are having.

Personnally, I am looking for a last tour North of the Border so if I can't get Lookers, then Stress City will be the tour for me! :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Happy New Year to all

Hey Boarderlyne, heres some cobblers for you, why don't you apply for JCRAP in Glasgow!!

Heard a distrubing rumour, that when the Nimrod MR2 crashed in Afghanistan last Sept, RAF Kinloss had a logistic nightmare with JPA to obtain NOK details as JPA was shut down over the weekends to update info for the RN JPA Rollout.

While having a couple or 7 beers down the old battle cruiser the other day started talking to the cheif clark and he told me that the reason psf (hr) ask you to bring in your pay chits is because when they log on to look at your info they do not have access to all your pay chits in the same way as when we log on. How good is that!!
.

hate JPA- i still haven't had my pay rise from promotion SAC to gain the mighty wheel of steel, niether has most of the guys on the sqn, but "HR" won't do anything about it :PDT_Xtremez_32:

Not only that half the time the statement of earnings (the screen the Clerks see) has been updated due to a supplementary pay run. Unlike with SAMA, PSF no longer has a record of each pay statement for the last 12 months they only get to see one statement per month so if you get a supplementary then your end of month one goes walkabout. It has been flagged up to the programmers several times by the office I work in and we are hopping they can do something about it, however don't hold your breath and keep hold of your pay chits.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

They probably haven't done anything you can see but the info us clerks were given was only the same as the rest of the Air Force. There is behind the scenes work going on but currently it's still a case of the blind leading the blind. Even under the old system there were delays in the SAC(T) pay going to record you won't lose out on your pay as it will get back dated. Yes it is frustrating but don't take it all out on the clerks we are trying our best.
