So what does anybody think??? Is Keven Kegan right to go back to Newcastle as manager or do you think he should have stayed "Well Clear"????

I'm sure he'll be really popular with the fans, the team will score lots of goals, but I'm not sure he has the tactical ability to be a really great manager. Does he have the ability to change a game, or get his team to defend a lead? I enjoyed the games against Liverpool (4-3 twice I think) as much as anyone, but all-out attack is not the only way to play the game. I hope he does well, because he seems like a decent chap, and the fans up there could do with a team that gives them hope. Time will tell.

He won nothing when he was there previously and he will win nothing again this time. Will be entertaining to watch though:PDT_Xtremez_30: :PDT_Xtremez_30:

He took them from a relgation place in the old 2nd division to 2nd in the premiership and introduced exiting football to the club. That wasn't failure. with the right people around him he can suceed this time. He needs somebody like Tony Adams to come in as a defensive coach.

I think that once again he'll be great for the club.

He is passionate and has genuine care for the toons.

Should make for some great games.

Yay, we can bring back all the songs about him from the nineties!

Just gotta remember them now...

I think he'll do OK, unfortunately, i'm a Leeds man, so I hope he messes it up!

Come on then, there's a couple of weeks left in the transfer window, who will he sign? Some defenders at a guess, what do you think?

He will do nothing and the Magpies will continue in their quest for the holy grail of a trophy. :PDT_Xtremez_31: :PDT_Xtremez_31:

At their current rate, if they cannot have Pascal Cygan to screw things up further at the back, perhaps Prof. Stephen Hawkings can run the back 4. Failing that, a Genn App to the big fella upstairs may release Lazarus - that's their best hope of raising something from the dead.

Resurrected and slightly modified by the fans of Sunderland AFC:

THERE'S A CIRCUS IN THE TOWN (IN THE TOWN)

KEVIN KEEGAN IS A CLOWN (IS A CLOWN)

MIKE ASTLEY HASN'T GOT A FCUKING CLUE

AND JOEY BARTON'S GOING DOWN.

(Repeat to Fade).

Listen for its first public airing at White Hart Lane on Saturday, followed by a very loud rendition on the night of 29 January @8pm on Sky Sports!

Oh very good. You hate NUFC so much that you have to have a go at every opportunity, rather than look at the sad position your paltry little "club" finds itself currently.

You must be like all these other "fans" who claim NUFC aren't a big club then reiterate what all the clamour is by responding. That's why all the back pages are resounding with the KK news.

See, we don't react to news about Everton/Liverpool/Villa/Birmingham or whoever. Cos we quite simply just DON'T CARE...

So Bartons going down? With those red & white B*astards then. They only place you lot are going is the "Championsip" Ha Ha

MACAM B*STARDS

I think he will get through to the end of the season but i think the fans will want to see big things next year that they might not get unless thye buy practically half a squad of quality internationalists.

Its a shame that one of the biggest stories (Havant & Waterloo beating Swansea to earn a 4th round tie at Anfield) in the 2007/08 season was relegated to minor news by the return to a mid-table premiership club of a permed ex-football manager with a reputation for quitting when the going gets tough.

It has nothing to do with who I support - I just think that Newcastle's 4th/5th/6th choice (depending on which paper you read) for new manager happening to be someone who has won absolutely nothing as a manager is not very newsworthy.

From one circus to another...
