It's sabre-rattling in order to announce to the rest of the world that they are now the New Kids on the Block. It's no different to what Abramovich did when he bought Chelsea.

It doesn't mean that these named players will actually end up wearing the baby blue of Man Citeh. The only certainty is that they have the funds in place and want everyone to be reminded of it.

All that needs to happen now is for DIC to buy out the spams that are doing a grand job of fcuking up Liverpool and we should see some real fun and games in the Jan transfer window.

Only Manchester has two of the finest football teams in the world.

Manchester Utd and Manchester Utd Reserves.

That is the way it was in the begining and will be at the end..............Amen. :PDT_Xtremez_15:

I'm afraid that era has ended. City will be putting in a bid of around 135 million for Ronaldo in January. I think City will be top 4 this season and Liverpool will miss out on a champions league place. Come on City.

Please explain why Ronaldo would want to go to citeh when he has already made it absolutely clear this summer that he doesn't even want to play for Utd but would rather be at Real Madrid, his boyhood dream club?

Same reason Robinho came to city MONEY MONEY and did i mention the MONEY. Robinho said he only wanted to go to Chelski.

Although i am a happy city fan i don't think that buying all the worlds top players will guarantee instant success. It would be nice though.

I just hope and pray that what ever happens at the end of the season regarding our table position the new owners don't sack Sparky but at least given him a chance.

i personally think sparky will do us proud.

"Flying into Manchester airport for the signing was one of the most
exciting days of my career. The limo transferring me took a while longer to
reach the ground than I expected but the chanting and atmosphere were
brilliant and it all passed by in a blur.

Once inside the ground I was greeted by the manager, the first time we had
met face to face. He was a lot younger than I expected but made me feel
most welcome. We went straight into a conference room for the official
signing.

After I had put pen to paper the manager turned to me and said "Welcome to
the biggest club in the World".

I said thank you and asked "When will I meet Wayne and Cristiano"?

There followed about ten minutes of confusion from which it transpired that
there are two clubs in Manchester and we had got them mixed up! For a long
time I could not believe this. Then my agent got his laptop out and looked
this second club up on wikipedia. Then the horrible truth dawned on me.

However I had signed so had to get on with it. All I can do now is play
really well and hope that Chelsea, Barca or possibly FC Midtjylland come
and save me from my nightmare.

Some days after training I drive across Manchester and sit outside Old
Trafford and dream of what might have been. I can sit there for hours.

Then Micah will nudge me and say "Come on Robby, we have to go back".

We drive silently back to the gaffer.

That was an extract from the forthcoming book "How did I get here?" by
Robinho.

That doesn't mean to say that Ronaldo will be motivated in the same way. Utd are a bigger club than city will ever be and could match Madrid in pay packets and he STILL wants to go to Madrid. He's won the premier league and the champions league with Man U and now wants to try himself in Spain; City won't get him.

dont want that pr!ck at city. I think things are moving a little fast for us though, teams are forged over time rarley can they just be slammed together, chelsea did this but they are melt down now. i heard a good comment today, every time the red scum and thier hangers on fill up thier cars they are paying our teams wages now, thats a good feeling, wonder if any die hard united fans will start to cycle, the roads of london will be clear for once,

Totally agree with you on that one dude. Although money can buy the best players in the world it can't make them successful and win everything in their way. But we'll have a good fcukin go trying. Ooh i feel another 6 pointer from the scum coming on.....:PDT_Xtremez_30:

This is from the "What the papers say on Cities website courtesy of the Mirror.

"Noel Gallagher: It's nice to know that every gallon of petrol a Man United fan buys is going into our kitty"
Oasis star Noel Gallagher is rubbing his hands with glee at the thought of Manchester City's coffers growing every time a United fan buys petrol.

Knowing city's propensity for self destruction I won't bet on them winning much soon:PDT_Xtremez_35:

That must be the full quote, nice one, didn't realise he said it I heard as a quote on the news. At least city had the support when we dropped out of the top flight cause we sure as hell didn't get from winning the first division or premier the last 20 years. Top club with top fans.

Where is pie sandwhich anyway, you getting palpataions with all the excitement bud

Well actually,

They started life as Gorton Athletic in 1880 then merged with west Gorton to become Ardwick FC in 1887 the 7 years later they became Manchester City.

How dare he talk about the scum in a city thread, I say we take him outside and beat him with a big stick:PDT_Xtremez_31:
