think were gonna give it a good scrub ourselves, it had stained carpets before we arived n a brand new oven so its not that bad, the wife is a bit ocd so its always spotles anyway, so ill just get the lads from the block to get it to standard's with me window's ect and ive got no pets so happy days.. I know a lad with cats whos due a march out his house is a s**t hole it stinks, he realy needs the cleaners ive tried to drop hint's that he could do with them but hes gonna do it himself. more fool him. hes gona be skint with his charges.

Come on! Lazy reasty family living in a quarter, ooh can't be arsed to clean my cooker after use and I'll let my dog do its business where ever it wants. Lets pay out 250 - 300 cause I'm some one you don't want too move in to a house afterwards.

30 odd years and several march outs later and I have never been billed.

My wife has always gone to her family a couple of days before march out and I have had several bull nights in the house after wards.

Don't be a lazy tw*t. Do it your self. If you have kept a half clean gaff and not let it reast like some of the Goaters on here who have had to call in the specialists have, then its a one day job. Save your DS whilst you can.

Totally Agree....Only ever paid for X1 lost Key & X1 broken saucer, Common Sense prevails..you know your getting posted! plan ahead.

Have you done a pre march out visit? Did mine in December and the DE girl came round and discussed everything that needed to be done. She even gave me a sheet with all the standard bits that need doing and the extras she raised (making good on picture hooks / holes etc)

If you do that and when they come round they pick up something else - surely they can't bill you for it?

Best advice is get the cleaners in. Otherwise roll up your sleeves and get the house up to the standard you would expect if you where marching in to it. Just left my quater, no charges. Put in the work and you will have no problems at all.

Get the pre marchout inspection done and ask them which cleaners they recommend, the one I was told about is doing the whole lot, house, windows, cooker, garden for about 350 quid this is ideal as I am posted before the wife, she works and we have 2 kids, the self help option is a none starter this time.

We have done both methods ours self and cleanersboth have their merits it just depends on your circumstances.
