Feckin good riddance too! The ginger t0sser should have had some sort of pride and resigned especially following his commets along the lines of "I take responsibility / the buck stops with me" etc etc :PDT_Xtremez_32:

What difference will it make? The FA is still in charge!

Perhaps we could book monster trucks for the half time entertainment at the next important game?:PDT_Xtremez_35:

£2.5m pay off for doing fcuk all! I'm sending my CV to the FA.

Don't know if Barwick should go. Look at the damage that ****** Crozier has done to the Post since he left the FA. At least England being sh*t doesn't directly affect my life.

Bin the team and let the under 21s have a go. At least they would have a damn good go.

There is something very rotten in our game and that is from the top down. We live under the misconception that we have the best league in the world, we don't. If we did premier league clubs would have won the champions league more than twice. Most exiting? Maybe. Most watched probably. Best? No! Are our English players the best in the world? It would appear not, the proof being our lack of success internationally. Our game breeds players who can play their position but can't play football, "He's a good right back etc" We pigeon hole our players from a very early age and it stays that way.
A root and branch independent review needs to be carried out for our game to move forward. The FA prove time and time again that they are just not up to making big decisions both at the tactical or strategic level.

If the England allstars fail to qualify for a competition, it is always the manager that gets the needle. Granted, McLaren picked the team to go out onto the park and they all failed him. The players get paid there millions, yet apparently show no pride or passion when they pull the national jersey on. The only player worth his salts last night was Crouch, the rest just seemed to fall appart as soon as Croatia scored.
The stars of the Premier league may turn it on for there clubs, but last night showed that they can't compete at a higher level.

Also, from a Scotsmans perspective, it was the perfect result.

Time to find cover and wait for the flack.

True the allstars were poo but I don't think they are world beaters.
I do however wake up every morning and thank my lucky stars that I'm not scottish.:PDT_Xtremez_14:

'Cos, even from an Englishman's point of view I think it was the best thing that could have happened. Hopefully, it now means someone will have a good look at what is wrong with our national side - but then again, as a rugby fan, my interest is only a passing one anyway.

I want my £42 back having gone to the game last night?

The team were aweful and deserved to be booed, can anyone tell me how did lampard get man of teh match? SWP was the best player on teh field and they brought him off! Moreover, when did Bridge become so w*** he was awful sunday league standard.

On seperate note I have been to wembley 3 times now and last ngiht was awful! the road way to the ground floods there is no drainage! non of the food staff speak english and it takes about 20 mins to get served! (everytime!). Finally the pitch was awful you could still see the american football print! no to mention the rubbish surface! shocking!

Maybe we should give Sven a second chance?:PDT_Xtremez_41:

After all, any man that can put usual bunch of losers called Man City into 3rd place in the Premiership deserves some credit.:PDT_Xtremez_28:

How very dare you, Kilt wearing northern British low life… 1966 ect ect ect:PDT_Xtremez_32:

But, to be honest it’s one of the better things to happen. Now they (FA) are forced to look at the national game and hopefully work out what broken (I will not hold my breath) and try to fix it.:PDT_Xtremez_35: :PDT_Xtremez_42:

So how about a summer of home nation football??:PDT_Xtremez_28:

England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and even the Republic, that could be a nice little tournament on its own… and you guys can bring back the goal posts you stole from the old Wembley… :PDT_Xtremez_25:

They players are largely to blame. DOnt think Mclaren ever ad their respect to be honest.

Terribly arrogant, and disrespectful and they have paid the price. Looking at the teams that qaulified it willl be a tough tournament.

Nicked off a Boro forum

Meeting between Steve McClaren and his assistant Terry Venables

Mc – Right, Tel, thanks to Israel I can still get us through to the Euros and can’t afford any mistakes. Goalkeeper – who’s the best in the country?
TV – Rob Green
Mc – Don’t know him. Is he in the squad?
TV – No.
Mc – Who have we got – I can’t afford to play that clown Robinson again?
TV - James and Carson.
Mc – Who would you go for?
TV – Well James is in good form and has more experience.
Mc – Hmmmmm, James cost Sven a few games, I’ll go with Carson. Defence picks itself; Nev, JT, Rio and Ash.
TV – They’re all injured, Steve.
Mc – Oh. Well, Micah at right back, Ledley and Carra in the middle and the other fella who can only kick with one foot on the left.
TV – Ledley’s injured, Steve - and Carra refuses to play for his country.
Mc – Who does that leave me?
TV – Lescott and Sol.
Mc – There must be other centre halves?
TV – They’re all foreigners, Steve.
Mc – Lescott? I thought he was a left back, never mind, he’s in. Midfield is easy Becks, Lamps, Stevie G and Joey.
TV – I wouldn’t start with Becks, Steve. Not fit and playing in a Mickey Mouse league.
Mc – Well I saw him a few weeks ago and he scored twice in a 14-4 win.
TV – Save him towards the end in case we need a get out of jail card like against Greece.
Mc – Good idea – so we’ll play the little fella on the right. You know, quick with no end product.
TV – Lennon?
Mc – No, the other one. He’s Dad will be in the TV studio, so that should go down well. So that’s SWP, Lamps, Stevie G and Joey.
TV – Steve, you know Frank and Stevie G can’t play together, even my old mum knows that.
Mc – Only because neither one is defensive. I’m going to put another man behind them, Barry. That’ll fool Bilic. Now, up front. I think we should play the two that caused Russia so many problems here.
TV – Heskey and Owen?
Mc – Yep.
TV – They’re both injured.
Mc - Schit – who would you play?
TV – Rooney and Ashton.
Mc – Excellent, two class players, they’re in.
TV – They’re both injured.
Mc – Fck me, have I upset the big man up there?
TV – Who, Barwick?
Mc –No THE big man.
TV – Crouchy won’t let you down.
Mc – How many goals has he scored this season?
TV – None
Mc – None? Is he the best we’ve got?
TV – We’ve got Defoe and Bent as well. They’ve got one goal between them.
Mc – One goal between 3 of our best players, why is that?
TV – Too many foreigners in the Premiership.
Mc – Tel, I’m struggling here, do you think I’m out of my depth?
TV – Don’t be silly, look at your CV, how many trophies have you won?
Mc – One.
TV – I’ve just remembered, I’ve got to speak to my solicitor about redundancy compensation.

That brings back memories. A lad I went to college with had the turf from the penalty spot in a plant pot in his back garden and it was still growing years after its liberation. :PDT_Xtremez_14:
