How very dare you, Kilt wearing northern British low life… 1966 ect ect ect:PDT_Xtremez_32:

Low life?? And what makes you so freaking good ?

At least us Scots have been well known for good use of the 'English' language... i.e. what does 'ect' stand for you clown?!! If you are going to accuse someone of being low-life, at least have the decency to try to appear superior!!
As for 1966, that was 41 years ago and you lot are still clinging to that very far-off thread of victory. How sad...******

This is probably the best thing to have happened in English football in a very long while. As has been said here already, the arrogance of the players leaves a lot to be desired. If they are really as good as their wages they should be prepared to produce the goods for their country and not just for the wage packet every week.
In this instance, it's the players who need sorting, not the managers.

Pre-madonnas the lot of them.:PDT_Xtremez_32:

Why not?
I can see no reason for your statement.

Because with a Premiership team and unlimited funds he did nothing in Europe.

I'm not sure if you noticed Edzar, but Pueblos was posting in jest.:PDT_Xtremez_42:

He had already won the Uefa Cup and CL in back to back seasons with Porto.
And a couple of smei finals in the Champiosn League, with a relativly inexpierneced team-in European competition- is not too shabby.

The English team need a manager that isnt afraid to mix it a bit.

Lets face facts they should as was stated on TV appoint the manager contracts on a tournament basis. The next manager has to get us to the World Cup if he fails no bonuses. If they get through he stays on simple, but that can only happen if the egotistic prima donna players pull their feckin fingers out and perform on the pitch. If the England Players could have shown 1/10th of the pride and passion of the England Rugby Squad then maybe we would have scrapped through.

Felt sorry for Scotland and N. Ireland but it always seems that the other home nations including the rep of Ireland play with pride never mind that some of the players have very tenuous links with their adopted nation. They always seem proud and honoured to be picked not like the England lot who believe it is their right to be chosen then throw their teddies out if they are missed off.

I agree he did that. But I still stand by my point. I feel chelsea should have done much better with the funding provided to him. Grant has them playing much more attractive football.
My man? Capello. A MUCH better coach.

Rubbish.

What the England team needs is a manager/coach who can actually get the players playing to their potential , or at the minimum, get a performance out of them that they produce week-in, week-out at club level. He needs to get the individuals playing as a team. A team that can also produce results - not unlike the Italians - when it matters.

okay okay people. put your necks on the line. give us a name cos i'm stumped:PDT_Xtremez_21:

Martin O'Neill has told the FA he is not interested. Wise man staying at Villa.

Allerdice, he's already proved he'll jump ship at the slightest sniff of a better job.
Sham Allardyce?

He's a fat-headed, slobbering (unt who still whinges about the penalty Bolo Zenden scored against Bolt-on in the CC Final.

What a prick.

Harry Redknapp's your man - if the FA are brave enough to take him on with his baggage.

Failing that, for a foreign manager, what about Fabio Capello? Fantastic CV. He is used to working with top footballers and is not adverse to ruffling a few players' egos. Most important he gets teams to play and gets results consistently.

I'm only going on those named most likely after Sven got pushed.

Fair enough.
I wasnt puttin Mourinho forward, the Portugal job may wel be his if he waits until after the Euros.

There`s only one thing that worries me about Mr McClarens sacking ........ He might turn up at the Riverside again :PDT_Xtremez_17:

They need someone that will stand up to te clubs and the FA.

TBH i think the wrong players are being picked. Guys that are playing well in the weeks and months leading up to international are constantly over looked
