Well all round it seems theres no real holes in the course.. Theres nothing quite like the learn, exam, dump, new subject technique!
Firstly congrats PSBM for starting this thread (beat me to it git)DT_Xtremez_25: . I hope it can remain a serious thread for the flow of information about the course. As one of the nine PSBM mentioned I would like to throw my tuppence worth in.
Yes Hu you are absolutley correct (again) it's not strictly speaking a fitters course but as a phrase most understand it's often referred to as such.
Mono - The whole course has been put together with the aim (amongst many others) of avoiding the "learn and dump" attitude. Hence frequent exams and progress hurdles at various stages, oral boards (Some will remember them), practical assessed tasks at regular intervals etc. DT_Xtremez_34:
DT_Xtremez_30: As PSBM stated the noble art of tin bashing has moved on to a more composite footing though still plenty of chances to abuse sheet metal into prescribed shapes. DT_Xtremez_28:
The whole course should be a much much better than the old "fitters course" ever was. Though what the preferred bidder will do with it is any bodies guess.
One more thing any goaters been selected to attend yet? If so whats your view?
