I am sure jobs are few and far between for wives, but are there any?

Also we have a cat, my wife will not leave without her, i know we have to get all the jabs and chips. will the cat go on RAF transport or travel seperatley, if anyone knows?

All,

Thanks for your replies, some really good gen. Just been told i'm going first week in november, great news, great time also.

Just a quick one for taking my vehicle out there. Do i pay some sort of registration when i get, cost, also what about insurance and tax/mot there, how does it work?

Cheers

You'll have to pay a registration fee and your first MOT & road tax. It's a bit of a faff around, Cypriot bureaucracy is amazing, but I found it an enjoyable challenge in the end!

You can get insurance from the shops on camp or ask one of the car dealers to sort it for you. I pay €200 fully comp for a 2.0l Vitara, not too bad really.

Quick question.

What is the dress in Akrotiri, in supply? I am aware that we get issued KD's, however from speaking with people who have been there i have been told that people wear greens. When i ahve been through Akrotiri i have seen them wearing deserts??

So whats the gen?

Cheers :PDT_Xtremez_14:

Its been very hot in Cyprus today. Just come from the beach, cleaned all that sand off me in our pool and now having a Keo!

Life can't be all bad!

Good luck, hope you get chosen for your tour here.
