Can anyone remember the civvie instructor John "JJ" Jardine? He has finally retired after 1,000 years teaching at Hereford and Halton. Any funny memories?

Yep JJ and I were Corporals together at Waddo many many moons ago. He was senior to me cos I still have mega years of work left in me. The only time I have come across anybody employed on Forward Delivery who could not drive. Unless of course someone out there knows otherwise.

I remember he was a bit of a **** to me on my BT2 course because I was posted to the wing (thumps clenched right hand to chest) straight after I finished the course.

Yet another one of those 'old school' grumpy blokes who have never spent a day on TSW yet have loads of opinions on what they do.:PDT_Xtremez_32:

Finally he's gone. I have had the pleasure of JJ on a few courses. Have to say his methods of teaching are somewhat unique!?! Classic line from the J-miester,

'I'm not here to teach you, I'm here to fail you!' :PDT_Xtremez_08:

Feel sorry for his missus, she's gonna have to listen to his cr@p 24-7 now, poor girl!

Had JJ for my basic at Hereford and ended up working with him!!!
Place is not the same without him. It was time for him to go though. There was less and less resistance every time he farted and he was making a mess.
Gawd bless.

Hereford? Isn't that where 'they' hang out?

Not that many years ago, stackers used to train at RAF Hereford. It was actualy in Credin Hill but like most camps, it was named after a place miles away.
A lot better than Halton. The top night spot was the Crystal Rooms. I remember some really classy women from that place.

JJ - Does anyone else remember rule 1 and rule 2 what a prat. When the whole class got something one he refused to admit it had not been taught.

Good ridence

Ah Hereford

Ah Hereford

Never had a bad time there. Came back fromSc course with the shakes from too much drinking. I think I only got through each day with the hair of the dog at dinner.

I, like Get some In, Had JJ, as an instructor. What a man. Having a serious dislike for all things scouse it was hard work. But, if I'm honest, I will miss the old Tawt. Happy days all the same. The Restoration, Kerry Arms (if you were brave) and the infamous Crystal Rooms. Went back there in 93 for my SC. Fantastic. Should it have closed down?? NO WAY!! Is Halton better? NO WAY. No substitute is there.

Recurring/Non=Recurring, I was also on my SC in '93...Jan/Feb if I remember rightly.

Got to agree, Hereford was brill, Halton sucks in comparison...no grab a granny on Wednesday night in Stickys for a start.

Hereford Halcyon Days!

Hereford Halcyon Days!

Loved Hereford! Trade Training in '88, SC Drinking Cse in '90 and the final Hydrant Cse (with JJ) in '94. Shame to see the camp run down then. Good thing was we were there when the Rugby Club has it's closing down do. Drink all the stock...for free (very messy).:PDT_Xtremez_42:
