Seem to remember that Mork could sleep with his eyes open.

Yeh one of the old wings characters if ever. I shared a tent with him and Capt Darling during save a kurd after Granby as well. Talk about chalk and cheese them two.

Didn't Briggs's number one customer end up going on a magical mystery tour of Oman in a TACB during SS2?

I believe he drove for a few hundred kms in an AFDV and he had to stop & 'dress down' to his undercrackers because it was so hot in the cab.
He thought he'd just turned the blowers on to circulate some air, but he had unwittingly turned on the arctic heaters instead! :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Nice one Supersonic!:PDT_Xtremez_14:

The interesting fact here is I claim to be the man that gave Bubbles his nickname on Supp 1 course 1980. Bewie and his amazing exploding kitbag, was the bane of my life in Boz, until I gathered all his clothes up and sent them to the laundry at 5 to 5 one afternoon, that was him in the same kit for 2 days, a bit smelly but he learnt!

You were up at Lipa weren't you? Same tour when 'Big and Daft' got sent back to DJ from GV because he had been drinking too much and was getting a bit punchy with the Teeny Weenie Airways lads.

Yep! I thoroughly enjoyed that tour. We had a good bunch of RLC lads and the QSM had worked with the RAF dahn sarf so he knew how we worked. PetOps couldn't get over how we would send tankers away if they turned up too late or if the weather was bad. They would off load whatever the conditions, very dangerous at times!

Petop,

Stax was there in '98. Were you there at the time?

I was there '96,7 & 8 BTW.

PM for further details if you want?

D
