Mines been overdue since Nov. TBH I'm not bothered however what did bother me was the PSF NCO (and remember I'm a shiny) who phoned me and asked me to hasten my Boss for my SJAR. He was somewhat taken aback when I asked him for proof of all the hastening action he and his Line Management had taken. Apparently, according to this f*kwit because of my rank I should be hastening my own report and he should not have to. I'm looking forward to my chat with the Chf Clk.

Put yourself in his shoes mate, he knows you, knows what you are like and has respect for you. He also knows that you can get your line manager to react much better than either he or his line management can. So pop into your boss and ask if you can sit together and complete it - it should only take 10 minutes lol

As with any SJAR/OJAR issue always tread carefully. Reality is that once you pis* off your 1RO (or indeed 2RO) it is always too easy for them to write an appraisal with 'feint praise' and no substance.

Your best bet is to firstly have everything in writing. Email your SNCO highlighting the issue and ask for your report to be completed soonest. In your email blind copy the Chf Clk.

Once that is done ask for an interview with the Chf Clk and ask him/her to hasten the chain of command as well - a broad hastener always works very well - request the interview with the Chf Clk in writing (ie by email).

Doing the above illustrates that you have fulfilled your side of the SJAR reporting cycle and you have hastened to the limit of your ability (and empowerment). Give it 2 weeks, if nothing resolved then submit a Service Complaint - in doing so one of the resolutions is to have an alternate reporting chain (think about who would be best placed to be that revised reporting chain ie another SNCO in your section etc), the obvious and second resolution is to have your SJAR done. Think also of including an aspect to your complaint about the internal hastening procedure, which it does look like it has failed - submit this complaint through the Service Complaints Commissioner, as well as advising the PSF staff.

As for KG - he can hardly write, let alone string a sentance together :)

Bwahahahahaha

As a SNCO I believe that lads work hard for you all year and if you can't be arsed to put pen to paper then you are not wanted in this air force!!!

What is a service complaint? Would it do any good? I int arsed about the Sjar really as i am out and I know what she will probably write in it. I just think it is W**k that she hasn't been arsed to do it. And mine is not the only one she has done it to. Same happened last year so I have been told.

Service complaint is the new word for Redress - it seeks to right a wrong - worth going down that route if you want to highlight your issue and get some action

My Dear Chap

your terrible spelling mistake amply illustrates why, when I had the pleasure of working for you, I did the work and then allowed you to make your mark at the bottom.

Really, ask yourself what is more important, being able to spell (or at least employ spell check) or being able to take a hot crumpet from behind whilst humming the old school anthem?

Now you know that I couldn't but help getting involved. Shouldn't that have the correct punctuation have been:
Really, ask yourself what is more important; being able to spell (or at least employ spell check) or being able to take a hot crumpet from behind whilst humming the old school anthem?

I think that the "Really" is a separate part of the paragraph as it questions the statement made previously. Furthermore, replacing the "what" with "which" reads better, as does a colon instead of a semi-colon and a comma to separate the 2 options. Thus, I believe the correct punctuation should be:

"Really? Ask yourself which is more important: being able to spell (or at least employ spell check), or being able to take a hot crumpet from behind whilst humming the old school anthem?"
I shall now re-insert my head into my anus and carry on as if I were normal.

You were, after all, my biatch, I simply allowed you to think you were in control, when all along my superior looks and training won the day!! And you didn't complain about the hot crumpet initiation.

To think I journeyed hundreds of miles at my own expense to attend your top table. You've changed since you started TL. LMAO.
