So, it's that time again...

Anyone want to start the ball rolling with info (plausible rumours allowed) for this years pay rise...?

1% pay rise (no need to break tradition), 5% rise on food and 8% rise on accommodation prices to bring them in line with NEM.

"I really must stop masturbating!"

Bet you felt momentarily happy when you saw 3.2% though....

Not really, as a JT I got a pay rise that gave me more than my Chief was getting the day before; then the ultimate promotion and pay rise when I PVR'd.

1% with the promise of jam tomorrow in the form of the new pay scales which will no doubt dissapoint everyone when they're announced. The new scales will be used as cover to raise accommodation charges way above inflation. At least inflation is coming down, strange I don't see it when shopping?

My missus is a civil serpant and her dept are still on a pay freeze.... If HMF get 1% I'll be impressed.

"Whoop woop!" my pension contributions went up yet again. That's the second year, real term pay cut.

So we here in the NHS get shafted by Jeremy Hunt. He only wants to give the 1% pay rise to staff who don't receive the annual increment. He looks at this as a pay rise. Each pay grade usually as about 5 annual increments until you get to the top of the pay spine for your grade. It's not a given that you will receive that years increment you have to present evidence that youve achieved whats expected of you during that year.

Im lucky just had my last increment so thats me getting 1%. LOL. Havibh tgese increments actually saves the NHS money as all new starters start on the lowest salary and as they gain more experien5 and skills then they get rewarded. If hes going to play this game then the NHS should pay the top salary in each grade for all new starters.

I'm definitely going to be taking strike action if and when I'm balloted.
