RAF Birthday Celebrations

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
Not long now until we are 100.

What’s happening near you to recognise this?

List them on this thread for all to see?!

I’ll start...mid Cornwall...feck all that I can find!

There's a RAFA dinner in St Annes that I shall be attending late April, along with some former colleagues who work up this way...aside from that we have the Southport Airshow in July, Lancaster WWI Centenary Lecture No.8 - 1908-18, The Genesis Of The Royal Air Force on the 19 April....and there is also the Morecambe Band RAF100 Concert in September too.

Like everyone still in, trying to dodge the fcuking shaftings that are being dished out to appear in parades for useless cnuts.

Nothing until October here in the 'People's Republic of South Yorkshire' and that is the Central Band playing in the theatre in Doncaster.

Fcuk all here... no doubt the incumbant local MP will claim once again he was in the RAF despite being only a member of OUAS for a year.... the Walt cnut.

No doubt the lads and lasses at the nearby secret west Midlands training unit are also getting regally stuffed to walk up and down in straight lines for some local council types and other pish. But out here in the community there are probably more people who know when the next series of X factor/dancing on ice/TOWIE starts than know about RAF100.

Summink on the telly next week, I believe. Apart from that......

Im going to the Cosford Airshow in June

As there was bo11ocks all planned round our way I was going to hold a small ceremony at Looney Towers, however on 1st of April I'll be visiting Ted Jnr in the U.S of America so maybe I'll march him, his wife and Mrs Ted around the gated community.

There was a Mirror Technician on the local radio the other day walking a 100 mile in a day, some catwalk that must be.

Immense combined Snecs/officers dining-in next month, except that there's some trouble corralling enough of the former right now to get the balance. Seems to be a bit of a 'motivation vacuum' in the old folks home! :PDT_Xtremez_31:

Really enjoyed the 'RAF at 100' Beeb programme that was hosted by Ewan and Colin McGregor.......

.....and not a RAF plimsoll in sight......

Got to say.. the medic giving Ewan his flying medical wasn't the best advert for the RAF going...
