Ha Ha, Bl00dy hell stax, I would've been 9 then and still in primary school.

I was once very naughty at Hereford, got kicked out and told never to return. Ahh, great days!

D
Careful Dan, I'll get your lawyer missus to spank you (mind thats not a punishment its a treat for you)

I hope the brass raf hereford sign hasnt been taken down took me ages on Friday night jankers to polish that up!

If your referring to the brass sign that was on the main gate then yes it has gone.

The gates were presented to the Mayor of Hereford and placed at Hereford Cathedral so I was reliably told.

I've just returned from Hereford this week and it still brought back some great memories.

Its just a pity I never got the opportunity to see if the Crystal Rooms still existed.

The Crystal rooms were called something else when I was there in 97. We went to it to see Judge Jules DJ.. was too hoooped to remember wat it was called now...

i can remember doing my stackers course there in 83, whilst there pompey played hereford in a cup game so being a pompey fan i went, it was an usual pompey game with a ruck before during and after, on leaving the ground we were marched out by the coppers and led to the station, i started to walk the other way and was grabbed and stuck up against a wall with the copper saying where the fcuk you going , home i said i live here, he laughed and said not with an accent like that you dont, then in full view and earshot of a large group of locals fans i had to explain that not only was i a pompey fan but also in the RAF he asked for proof so out came my white 1250 (remember those) by this time local group of fans turning into menacing mob ,
the coppers ok then of you go pointing me in direction of said mob, as you can imagine my journey home was rapid and eventful, the only good thing was after running up and down credenhill ( the stackers currahee) a couple of times previous i was fairly fit, arnt are coppers wonderful.
any one remember market day opening hours in the hereford pubs

aaawww, i got quite nostalgic when i saw that, long hot summer of '91 - great days. Apart from Eric The B*stard trying to fizz me everytime he saw me. Still remember with fondness the rows and rows of baby stackers swaying in the wind for weekly inspection on a wednesday morning.

Happy Days

Happy Days

July - Sep 1980, basic supply course, happiest time in blue. Weekends, up for breakfast, maybe, if yes back into my pit then backup for lunch, then repeat, until it was bar time again, then back on the pull. Cider with Brandy chasers what a way to spend a couple of weeks in the sun. Oh and a couple of nights in the back seat of my Capri with a stunning Dental Assistant.

Yeah thanks for that. I went through Hereford (literally) in 77/78. Xmas Bop(s) and 5 women to every bloke, even Neil Bergstrand pulled and he looked like Quasimodo with piles!

77/78 ohhhh boy i remember it well fri pm under the R&D counter slightly the worse for wear after a lunch time in Trenchard club celebrating my 21st. Terry Boisel the Discip Cpl lecturing all students about the stains on the club snooker tables ?????? seemed more like 7 women to every bloke heaven or what

Sad spotter? I loved that place! Wednesday 'grab a granny' nights?
Legendary!

I remember visiting the Crystal Rooms in 1993 on my SC Cse and the place was still jumping.

Did anyone ever make it to 'Marilyn's'?

I think it had three floors but my vision was always blurry by then.

Yoy should have been there in 74 there was basics supply, clarks, cooks and stewards was a riot. went back in 79 to do my cpl course and we were all from RAFG took the place by storm. Basic traines had a game that if you wore the colour of there course, and there were 6 blocks of wrafs, they would take it of you unles you paid them money. You can imagine the fun we had as we had all there colours on a list for each week, they even striped a guy totally in the middle of the disco, great fun, those were the days.
