Just a though..... Has anyone considered that Jannerman could be a Janner"woman" in which case "her" SD hat should certainly be shaped before donning???

If this is the case soak it using a water spray and either place in a shoe box which is a similar width to the hat to keep the sides flat until it dries or use 2 very large paperclips to grip the sides flat to the hat until it dries.

In that case, wouldn't the username be "Jannerwoman"?

Easy peasy. Cut a wire coathanger to fit inside the leather sweat-band. Bend to desired shape = instant SS Officers hat!

I've got to ask - why????

I think that zobs who wear the 'styled' SD hats look stupid, especially when on parade.

Surely a decent SWO should have a word before a parade and make suggestions as to what is appropriate?

If you do get a chip bag hat please wear it correctly.......Not in the middle of the head! Look back at some old photos and see how it should be positioned. Bet you get a few odd looks if you do!

It should be worn rakishly tilted over the right ear with the badge aimed at the sun. If you wear too much gel it will slip off!
